1. Not just yet, but I'll keep you posted... You're 2nd in the queue of interested parties!
  2. Hi folks, Bought the B3K (awesome) and Vintage (awesome) with the intention of keeping the one I preferred. As it happens I think I'd prefer a B7K to either so I'm offering the pair up for trade for a US B7K (must be US im afraid) with cash my way. Only other trade I'm interested in is for a 3Leaf GR2 or Wonderlove. That's it. ****Edit - will now sell these pedals for £175 each posted in the UK. Have a few folk interested in the Vintage already so will offer to them first**** These 2 pedals are absolutely as new. B3K has never even been stepped on, Vintage was bought from Kev and is as new also. Cheers Ian
  3. Listen to some 3 leaf proton and groove regulator clips on YouTube. Between the 2 you'll find one that suits you I'm sure. The gr2 has a blend which can tame it down, allthough you can set it to be pretty tame anyway (i have the gr1 and it's lovely, but thinking of seeking out a gr2 just for the buffered bypass).
  4.
+1 I found the Squeezer really tedious, why didn't they add a USB port and some software? It'd be a must have pedal then.
Ha! No it wouldn't! People would still complain, same as they do with the markbass synth

    Effects Survey
Filling that out made me realise just how many effects I want that nobody makes.
Like what?
  6.
Do it, that'd be a great build diary. Shep and I have talked about a similar project, currently on the back-burner, but very much along those same lines!
Nice! That I'd like to see. Easy to let the mind wander when contemplating this kind of project though. Now thinking of adding an escobedo uglyface as a switchable alternative to the mammoth and a pwm/wave shaper as a switchable alternative to the octave... Or in series... Where do you stop!!!
  7. Cheers Tom. I'd considered that in passing (and have relays and a few cmos devices to hand at work) but if I was to go to those lengths I'd probably build another filter specifically for synth sounds and incorporate it along with the octave and fuzz in one 1550G box (your "like rome" dirt box as my inspiration Tom!). Individually switchable, an overall bypass and the filter envelope controlled from the clean signal at all times. One to think about...
  8. A work in progress... The unboxed circuit is a mammoth clone with the input impedance control of the mastotron. Originally I was going to put it in a 1590a (mooer sized enclosure) and use it as a preset fuzz, but think I might rehouse the chord octave pedal so I'll put it in along with it and bring a few of the controls out front. Don't know what to do with the groove regulator. Sounds brilliant, but there's no way to run the octave and fuzz in its loop and have access to them without the filter effect.

    DIY Effects
I must build one of those Ezekiel's too. Sorry for not having posted recently, but have been busy making pedals :-) Since my last post I've managed to complete 2 RAT's, Colorsound Bass Fuzz, Big Muff (never got round to putting the clean blend in it), Dyna Comp, Keeley 4 Knob Comp, Zen Drive, Red Llama, Sparkle Drive, Tubescreamer, A couple of utility boxes and today I finished a Greedtone OD. I'm addicted!
...wish I had your free time. 2 young kids and a hectic job are making it hard to get anything done. I've even resorted to kits to speed things up, but can't even get time to get those started (ggg tuned muff, rc booster and bb preamp based on pedalparts kits and some mods). Have been using any spare minute (including 3am baby feeds) thinking about custom circuit combinations....

  11.
How did the mastotron clone turn out? I had a look for DIY mastotron kits but i couldn't find anything.
The mastotron is just a wooly mammoth with the extra input impedance control to help it play nice with active basses and other pedals - I left out the 3 position switch too though. Build a wooly mammoth and add the control is what I did (built it on stripboard but have yet to put it in an enclosure - planning to put it in a box with the guts of a chord oc2 clone and a diy filter pedal). Pedalparts.co.uk do a mammoth clone kit. In answer to your original question it sounds filthy!

    tonyquipment

Tony bought an iPhone 4 from me through the forum. Quick payment and excellent comms. A star!
  13. Just bought a mooer elec lady flanger from Ollie. Minty fresh pedal at a great price with fast delivery and great comma. What's not to like! Would deal again any time
  14.
for that price, you'd have to wonder what was under the hood.
Exactly what I thought about the pedal on which this one is obviously based... Having built a mastotron clone I can tell you there's not much to these pedals. Nice variation on a theme with this one though!
  15. Already have an octave, filter and fuzz. It's just the polytope tone in that video I'm trying to get - I'm thinking flanger or chorus with the depth and resonance up high and the rate low.

    Kev's Feedback

Just bought Kev's Darkglass Vintage. Good comms and super fast shipping (arrived in 24 hours). Perfect BC transaction!
  17. I'm not well versed on modulation effects, having not owned any in about 20 years, but I'm looking to achieve what the polytope does in this video (that kind of resonant fizz on top) without laying down that sort of cash! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8qq3eCq8vw Any budget (preferably small too) suggestions? Will be running it after fuzz/filter/octave as in the video and probably never on it's own.
  18. It can be cheaper to diy, but only if you don't count your own time. That's where you'd be crucified by a custom builder.
  19.
Got my pedaltrain nano, just a simple setup
More info required - I'm guessing the 2 effects are fuzzrocious (grey stache & ?)?
  20. If you check out Gary Willis' videos on youtube he goes through making a ramp from scratch for a marcus miller jazz bass. Doesn't look difficult, although I think it's a case of 'measure twice, cut once'! He does it out of scrap wood and covers it in sticky back plastic, but the theory is the same for a solid wood one.
