1. Easy way to tell if it's a phase issue. Turn the blend down so none of the clean signal is present. If that's louder than 50/50 blend then phase is the issue.
2. Just bought a 3 leaf groove regulator from Ian (in response to my wanted ad). Typically basschat transaction. Wouldn't hesitate to deal again!
3. Just bought a chord octave pedal from Paul. Typically brilliant basschat transaction. Wouldn't hesitate to deal again!
4. There's small... and then there's smaller... This is actually a wah, but you get the idea!
5.
What does "Psycho Acoustic" mean?
Probably that it has a big peak at 100Hz and absolutely nowt below that!

7. That DJ5 is hotness...
8. That pic is maybe too compressed for you to read the text on the diagram, so: Red = output from circuit to footswitch Green = footswitch to output jack Blue = true bypass signal from input jack
9. YOU CARRY OUT THIS MOD AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! It's a little more awkward modifying the micro q-tron than the mini, but still perfectly achievable. Have a look at the pic attached. First thing you have to do is cut the red track on the footswitch pcb (shown in the diagram) to break the connection between the ribbon cable and the footswitch. If it were me I'd cut it more than once to be sure! Next get a potentiometer. I'd go for a 1 megaohm audio taper although I've used other values (250k, 500k). The little diagram within the pic shows looking at the pot from the back. The red wire should be connected to the ribbon cable end of the red track. The green wire should connect to the top right of the 9 footswitch pins (the other end of the red track). The 3rd pot connection should be grounded. I'd connect it to the chassis of the pot (if it's a metal case) then to an available ground on the circuit - I'd connect to the sleeve lug on the output jack). Where you drill the hole for the pot is entirely up to you. I'd be tempted to mount it on the side of the pedal on the footswitch side of the output jack, about where the battery usually sits. There's the same room on the other side of the footswitch to put the battery.
10. I'll throw something together tomorrow. It'll probably be on the back of a fag packet (or politically correct modern equivalent!!!).
11. It's basically adding a volume control to the effected signal, after the circuit but before the footswitch. Haven't done it to mine yet but have carried out the mod on 2 mini Qtrons which have the same issue. Works well.
12. I would have thought a more traditional standard scale electric bass would have been better suited to your requirements. The Ashbury is very upright bass sounding, which might work in some contexts, but i'd find its available tones very limiting. Some real bargains to be had at the minute. I'd be looking at something jazz or precision based (no pun intended). There was a really nice sq series squier for sale the other day that would be perfect and as good a quality bass you will find under a grand (not affiliated with the seller but owned an all original one myself for a while).
13. Gav just bought a Korg Pandora mini from me. Great buyer and was very understanding when I had to delay shipping due to illness. Top bloke!
14. I'll act as pusher too! I love my Dingwall Afterburner 5 but can't justify it when I'm not gigging and have baby no 2 due at the end of the month. It's in the for sale section... sob...
15. Roll up, roll up, bump!
16. Pablo just bought a Roland vbass from me. Hassle free transaction all round. Good comms. Wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again.
17. Sorry guys, neither are what I'm after really. Much more emphasis on cash sale or trade with as much cash as possible my way. Thanks for the offers though!
18. Big box Qtrons need a separate wall wart. 24v. There is an adapter you can buy to run off a 9v supply, but it costs more than the pedal. They don't take batteries unfortunately. Good price for that pedal regardless... Having said all that my qtron was the best filter I tried in my mini filter quest. Sound absolutely filthy!!!
19.
Skyline, or 850 is silly money and to be frank Skyline's are better value for money and are way up there with the US models at a fraction of the cost. Bump on me!
+1 to that. Tried the Skyline vs US test blind a few years back and without looking I couldn't really tell the difference. The US felt a bit more played-in if I was pushed to make a judgement, but no more than the well played 55-01 I had for a while. I'd be very interested in this if I a) had the money and didn't have a desperate dislike of black blocks on maple boards! Good luck with the sale - bet it's a sweety!
20. Bump. Great little practice buddy for bass and guitar.
21. If you decide to sell the pedaltrain mini I'd be VERY interested!!!

23. Sorry, nothing with more than 5 strings!
