1. I've played 3 that the Gallery have had over the years. One was the most awesome think I'd ever put my hands on at the time (5 string Emperor Dlx). The other 2 (both 4 strings of some description - 1 may have been a Vic Wooten 'sig' but can't recall) could have been described as mediocre at best. The next person along would have a different opinion, and rightly so, so it's horses for courses.
2. 5.6 pounds! Surely not...
3. A P bass you say - Orange Terror Bass. No question. I tried a friends Streamliner 600, which is great too, but the Orange has that extra something even if it isn't as flexible as the Streamliner. Worth the trouble to try and find one in my opinion.
4. Yeah I'd be faffed-off too. Having said that Jon does excellent work (that I can attest to from 1st hand experience). I wouldn't have paid that much for it (Finished at just over a grand for anyone who hasn't clicked the link - double what Dr. Dave sold it for here last year... wish I'd bought it at the time!).
5. Hmmm that looks very familiar - It was Dr.Dave's and was for sale here last year. Listing doesn't happen to mention that Jon Shuker did the spalted beech top... It WAS an original 3000: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/109162-status-sold/page__hl__%22spalted+beech%22__fromsearch__1
6. If you decide to pass this on instead of tarting up the preamp, I may be interested...
7. I recently acquired a 1983 Squier SQ series precision bass in a deal. Would someone in the know be able to hazard a guess at what sort of money one of these basses may fetch in well used, naturally reliced condition? I know the JV series get talked about a lot, but you don't hear so much about these...

GILLY

Will has just bought my Bongo. Great chap to deal with. Fast payment and great communications. Wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again!
9. Bump for price drop - price now includes shipping too!
10. I had one of these heads for a few years. It was reasonable, but not really good enough to leave a lasting impression. For a little more money you could do MUCH better on the second hand market (for example I bought an orange terror bass for £300 + p&p - sounds much better to me and is STUPIDLY loud/small - the Laney is sizeable, and not light either).

Feedback for JIX

Just sold James my Warwick Corvette. Excellent, hassle free transaction. SUPER fast payment and great communications. Nice guy to boot! Deal with confidence!
12. 'Some interest but still here' style bump!
13. Why thank you kind sir! Hope Germany's treating you well!
14. I've just sold a 1995 German made Corvette Proline, wenge neck (more desireable than the Ovankol it would seem - much nicer profile than more recent models), bubinga body, passive MEC pickups in almost new condition for £350. Look further for your money. There was a chap on Fastfude (Northern Ireland site) who had a German made Ash bodied Corvette for sale a while back for similar money - no recent updates so if it's still there it may be had even cheaper. 15. These are excellent preamps. If buttery, fat clean tone is your thing, this is the preamp for you. IMO it doesn't do dirty, but not everyone wants that. I plan to build myself a clone of my old one when I get the time...
16. I'd add a Sandberg Ken Taylor to the list if I were you... just to confuse things further!
17. EDIT: Open to bass trades on this. Especially for Jazz/Precision type basses. Fender, Lakland or Sandberg and P+J/P+MM for preference, although won't rule out a straight Jazz, especially a Lakland JO 4. Something with a little cash my way would be nice... Also interested in a Genz Benz Streamliner (600 or 900) with a little cash my way or an iPad or decent netbook/small laptop with cash my direction. You can try me with other trades but I've very little cash to offer your way at the minute.
18. I've just had one of these with me for some repair work (user "error" - dropping a bass face down does bad things to machine heads). They are better than they have any right to be for the money... Not associated with seller, just adding my tuppence worth.
19. If someone buys one of my basses I'll be in touch... unless you're interested in one of them!
