Sounds like you need a new guitarist!
Edit: I would say you've maybe got a bit too much drive going on, but that would just be for my taste and equipment. You may find it hard getting any more meaningful responses than my first suggestion...
Files you can open on whatever electronic device you own - PC, mac, tablet, smartphone. The advantage being you can have your entire collection on one device, or (in some cases anyway) share them between devices, or store them in "the cloud" and access them on any of your devices, virtually anywhere with a wifi or mobile data network.
Personally I prefer having a real book...
Bolted together, but I think there's a bit more involved than that. The rolled fingerboard edges for example. Wind their own pickups too. Certainly seem to have hit on a decent formula!
I had a ramp on the shuker 6 string I had made. It's a brilliant device, and so simple. Having played the bass both with and without it, it was a much better experience with it. It's been described as a natural compressor, which I think hits the nail on the head. Certainly evened out my ropey right hand technique!
I find myself, once again, with too much gear and I have pretty much everything I could need covered with my helix...
Tc Spectradrive - bought to try out the toneprint thing and decided to try out compression again and couldn't find a used Spectracomp at the time. Some really cool sounds available and great as a one-stop-shop for practice purposes. Velcro on the bottom, otherwise as new. One thing of note is that it came to me with a European power supply, but it will run from any standard pedal supply with 250mA available. £90 posted in UK. ####Sold####
I built an Bass RC clone from a pedalparts kit. It's extremely tame compared to the BB clips I've heard. With gain well up it adds a little hair, but it's pretty subtle, which isn't the impression I have of the BB.
It's frustration @ped. They have the ability to lead the world. Instead they're releasing another (likely in my view) loss leader. As you say, we shall see. But even if they are really good, the prices vs features are hard to swallow.
