Hi Quilly, I don't honestly remember where my LB30 went, but it was gone longer ago than that so yours didn't come from me I don't think. I'm not in a band at the minute so I'll not be much use to you I'm afraid! Technically there shouldn't be much difference between 50 watts and 100 watts, but I'm a firm believer in "better the devil you know...". I'm slightly jealous of your CTM100... I'll maybe give you a shout next time I'm visiting my brother in Kilkenny and we can compare/contrast heads! -

Recently acquired, but really surplus to requirements as I have a Ibanez baritone guitar already. This guitar is easily 9.5/10. Other than a couple of tiny scores (pictured) that don't break the finish and a little forearm shining in the finish, it's indistinguishable from brand new. Currently strung with Labella strings, a set of Bass VI D'addario strings are included. Product page on Ibanez site: http://www.ibanez.com/products/eb_detail18.php?year=2018&area_id=3&cat_id=2&series_id=51&data_id=159&color=CL01 Trade-wise I'm looking for a 50's/60's spec P bass - classic 50's, Roadworn P or similar, Lakland Hollowbody, obviously with cash or other gear your way. Or try me.

I've had my head turned by another, and this isn't getting any use at the minute so it's time for it to move to new premises... While a beautiful playing bass, this one definitely sits in the "well used" category! There are multiple dings all over the body (not as many scratches oddly - any there are would certainly polish out), what look like a few finish flaws on the front of the body (finish has sunk into the alder "knots", above and below the pickups) and there is some loss of finish around the rear strap button down to what looks like damage due to a drop/fall. There's also string wear to the pickup covers, wear to the tuning pegs and it could benefit from a fret dress. Also the neck lamination joints can be felt on the back of the neck (no structural issues at all) and the side dots are a TINY bit proud on the top of the neck. None of this damage/wear effects playability. The bass is still wearing the strings from the previous owner which aren't quite long enough (silks on the wrong side of the nut on the E string) but I'm including a set of Kalium low F tuning strings I bought from Dood earlier in the year (perfect for B tuning), and a set of custom ordered Newtone Diamond 4 string multi-scale strings I ordered when I felt like getting my Devin Townsend on and tuning GCGC (60 - 150, these may or may not be useful...) - both sets unused and still in original packaging. Comes with an excellent Dingwall branded Levy's gig bag and Dingwall toolkit. I've priced the bass low (as low or lower than any used Dingwall import basses I can recall) to take into account any work the new owner MAY wish to carry out, none of which is absolutely necessary. Trade-wise I'd be interested in a Fender Roadworn Precision (preferably sunburst), Classic 50's or other 50's/60's spec P basses, a Lakland Hollowbody, anything ACG with cash either way. *EDIT: Given condition of this bass I'll consider close offers from the off* *EDIT 2: Much better pictures added - these are much more representative of the colour of the bass*

Do you have an ipad? Midi interface and apps?

My, that looks familiar...

How very Devin Townsend of you! Turn up the goo!

Nice looking snake skin finish 8 string (4+4)

Didn't make reserve. Max bid £310. The neck and tuners would cost more than that new... -
Seek out a Lakland 55-01. Or a Sire V7. V7 will be inside budget used, Lakland just outside it. Thank me later...

It's better done than most of the belt sander crowd could manage, but the hardware relicing is a bit meh, especially the knobs and back of the tuners. The less said about that pickguard the better...

Fender Jazz Bass - new Mighty Mite neck!
Bigwan replied to prowla's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
That neck does look like it's been fitted a bit off center! I had a Roadworn Jazz that was about that far off, but played 100%. There's usually a bit of movement in the neck pocket to allow it to be straightened. Tuners look like standard MIM fair... Wouldn't spend £375 quid on it. -
If it's not a P I'd be on to the solicitor quick smart!

There's always a B15... Precious little in small valve amps for bass. Hughes and Kettner did one called the Bassmaster (5 watts) but it's like hen's teeth. You could try the SWR Interstellar OD (10 watts), but it has the baked in SWR thing going on around the aural enhancer circuit. Check out @disssa's website: https://www.disssa.de/ -

Real answer? it's a 50 watt valve amp that will sit on top of my vertical Barefaced Two10 without annoying my OCD... and I've never owned an Ampeg (other than a noisy SVP) so the time felt right. I'll give you first refusal! -

Hmm... I've owned both the CTM30 & LB30 and really enjoyed them. I own the CTM15 and am not convinced yet - I'm a tinkerer and have a few ideas on how to improve on it, but I may part ways with it since I have a PF-50T incoming. I wouldn't go the Orange Terror route myself. The LB30 sounds nicer and won't try to take your head off... The Ampegs have a dummy load built in so silent recording is a built in option, which is rather nice.
