  1. Bought a Boss Bass Waza Air from Danny. As described and would definitely deal with him again.
  2. Me too, I had a Dudepit ltd ed Joe Osborn in Sherwood Green with an East J-retro. Magnificent bass, but it proved (at the time) that I don't get along with skinny necks. Glorious sounding thing it was. Wish I had it now as my hands aren't as good as they once were!
  3. Yup, as @bertbass says if both cabs sound fine on their own one of your speaker leads may be to blame. Individually they'll sound fine but combined one speaker is "pushing" while the other is "pulling", cancelling each other out. Flip the connections on one end of one of the speaker cables. Should sort your issue out. If you're using speakon connectors it may be a screwdriver job.
  4. Aye if it's that age it's a Lakland Skyline Joe Osborn signature model. The numbering thing came later.
  5. Yeah I think cash on collection would be the only way to go with this one. Both cash and collection being issues since I'm potless AND in Northern Ireland!!!
  6. I thought it might have been yours. There's a big gear rehash coming here so if I can get the reddies you never know...

  8. To quote Rage Against the Machine "whoever told you that is your enemy". It absolutely will NOT be latency free, having tried the same interface on 4 different machines. It may, however, be better than the MIDI side..
  9. Latency is a curse and one you're unlikely to defeat with the Sonuus as an audio interface I'm afraid. Tried that myself (For the uninitiated in the thread the Sonuus can act as a straight-up audio interface as well as an audio to midi converter). Only audio interface/recording setup where it doesn't bother me is my Focusrite Clarett which uses thunderbolt 2 to my imac or macbook air. I can't feel any latency at all with it. I say feel because I find latency a feel thing rather than an audible phenomenon, especially if you play with your fingers. With a pick it isn't as detectable.
  10. Bearfoot bass overdrive or one of the many variants of it... Maybe the One Control Blackberry, which is probably the most available, or the Fuzzrocious Dark Driving. I built my own from a kit and loved it... then modded it so extensively that it lost the magic. Need to go back to that one again as it was a very nice pedal...
  11. Will this cursed GAS never end!!!

I thought I was completely cured of GAS... but I fell down the Spector rabbit hole again...

Might want to put your pics back up!
  13. I go through similar periods of indecisive GAS... Having owned a fan fret Dingwall AB1 5 string (and an ABZ 4 string) they don't hold the same appeal as they once did. I own a better sounding standard scale 5 string now. I've recently been playing my "son's" Mustang bass a lot. Feels great, weighs next to nothing... it's got me thinking about a quality, dual-pickup short scale like a Spector Bantam or a Sandberg Lionel VT, although they're like hen's teeth!
  14. Looks like a Mono I think...

Ordered the lightning boy transformer. Should have a lot of the passives in my stash with any luck!
  18. Different preamp, but if it's what he uses, why design something new if that's what he's settled on for himself? Out there is all very well but Ibanez are in the business of selling instruments, if it's too out there how many will they sell other than to hardcore SD fans. Needs to work for players as well as SD fans.

Haven't yet, just ordered PCB, faceplate and pre-drilled enclosure. Gonna be cheaper than any decent tube pre you'd buy used either way! Transformer will be the pricey and variable bit!
  20. A long watch but a great demonstration of what this pedal can do:

  22. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid02cyi5YPtMTx59QNendBK7Rav7MpZQYfokRygDQ7LfRu1d3jcvYh141EXpFgYZcKuYl&id=100001226324861 One of my favourite players getting his own signature. Thomann have it listed for £1499.
  23. Personally I'd hold out for the v7. Better looking at too much power than not enough, and I've had gigs with cab combinations where 300 was not enough, but my gigs (metal) wouldn't be the same as yours, so take that with a pinch of salt!!!
  24. The new AMpeg Venture series would probably fit the bill here. B15 and SVT modes would cover all the thump and warmth territory I would imagine...
