1.
Hi folks, decided I'm only after a trade for a fretless, thanks for the interest but if I can't trade for that I'll keep her Andy
Does this mean a cash sale is of no interest? Just checking before I sell a load of stuff...
2. My first bass! Haven't seen one in years!
3.
I bought two basses this week on the strength of selling this and another bass - "ill take it" and "I will bye it " (sic). I will be honouring my word to buying the two basses that I am committed to buying. 3rd time this happened in a couple of months now. Should we leave negative feedback for this nonsense? Rant over. Bump - still available.
Yes, you should...
4. Can't see your pics. Photobucket is dead to us...
5. I'd like to try this pedal, but mxr support when you're out of warranty is non-existent in my experience and they won't provide schematics (Ryan at fuzzrocious might help out in this case though - seems like a good chap). For that reason alone I'd stay away. A dunwich volt thrower or idiotbox blower box would be my choice for something rat based. If you can get past the form factor I'd try an Ashdown Lomenzo Hyperdrive. One of my favourite drive pedals. Like a lot of pedals, and as you've found, your first attempt is unlikely to be your last! Edit: can't believe I forgot about the COG TK-421 when talking about Rat-based pedals! I had a custom TK-421-X for a while (had an lpf for clean and drive and an hpf on the drive channel which wasn't standard on them) and it was a super, super pedal. Wish I hadn't sold it to be honest! Sold it for less than you could buy an mxr...
6.
Well it's definitely not battery powered! Like you I'm looking for a little practice tool too, this works nicely but maybe check out the Korg Pandora if you can find one. Actually I don't think that has a D.I. I'll let you know if I find anything. Everything I've found is missing at least one thing. Pick any but one of these! Compressor Reverb Line in Battery powered Small Light EQ Decent volume Headphone out
Ipad with interface would cover all of those surely... Means buying into ios but I haven't looked back. Selling up pretty much everything else.
7. Never heard of Cornford doing bass gear. Very interested to hear more bout the accompanying head!
8. I've discovered there'll soon be a new DIY option available for HPF... and LPF for that matter! Julian Pöhler, the guy behind the Guma Drive and Guma Antique kits (clones of those famous pedals made in Finland!), is bringing out an HPF/LPF pedal kit with DI called "Vong" in the next few months. If his prototype is anything to go by (and it usually is with Julian!) it'll be 125B sized and have controls for HPF freq, LPF freq, volume and switches to enable disable each of the filters. Ground lift for the DI of course. No footswitch. I've already expressed an interest in one and he's to let me know when they're generally available. He usually sells direct and through Musikding.de. I've had discussions with Dood on the DIY pedal thread about building one of these for myself, but if someone is doing a nice, tidy kit (and I've yet to find tidier than Julian's work) with the same function, I'll just build that instead!
9. These have been pulled from sale again. Got in just in time Ped...
10. These are excellent little combos. I love mine, and despite my gear collection being akin to a revolving door sometimes, my wee Ashdown has always stayed put. Highly recommended these...
11. Good golly I need to get some stuff sold...
12. Holy bargain bass preamp batman!
13. 3. You have a Roadworn P as a backup
14. Beautiful bass, but for goodness sake control your commas!
15.
You can get it if you really want (x3) but you must try... Try and try... Try and try.... You'll succeed at last! (Sorry folks, a bout of Jimmy-Cliff-itis)
I was going to counter with some Simply Red... but I can't bring myself to...
16.

Awesome!
17.
I have managed to set up my triple band compression, dual signal paths and I've started on my drive routings. I also saw a video of a guy using the Helix to also provide his IEM headphone mix too. That was just too cool!
Ooh that sounds good!
18. Cabs we know about, AOm wasn't totally unexpected and certainly more expected than an Ultra version at this point. I think a smaller amp might be in the pipeline myself but Doug has been teasing something microprocessor based for a while. I'd put my money on a microtubes engine-ish preamp with presets (with AO? Maybe would cannibalise the rest of the product range too much for comfort though). Guess we'll have to wait and see! It'll be interesting to see whether he spreads the 4 announcements across the month...
19.
Nasty pop-up that won't go away no matter where I click, asking me to join their mailing list (which I am already subscribed to). Needs more work.
The little x in the top right corner of the pop-up works fine for me...
20.
Good evening Ian, Nut width is a very comfortable 42mm. Are you curious about how good these are ???
Always curious Mike! But light on cash at the minute!
21. These were made in the same factory as the original Lakland 55-01 with same electronics. Wish I had some money at the minute. If I had this would be mine...
22. What's the nut width on this beastie Mike?
23. Not keen on that colour either. I'd return it to the original colour. I'd relic it a little though...
24.
So does that mean the bridge would need to move 4.4cm closer to the neck? Which obviously is quite a lot This is my tester bass to do all these kinda things to it so it isn't one that means loads to me like my G3
Measure nut to 12th fret. That should (I think) be the distance from the 12th fret to center of intonation adjustment range on the bridge.
