1.
Mine should be arriving today. It has some serious competition to contend with as I'm very happy with my current arsenal of drives, so looking forward to seeing how it stacks up!
First dibs if it doesn't settle in?
 2.
There seems to be quite a bit of love on these forums for them I think - never tried one but they would certainly be among the contenders should I be in the market for a small amp.
Thought you didn't like class-D?
 3.
Afaik some pedals are digitally controlled analog. I'm not saying Darkglass is, but that's how you do things efficiently nowadays. The way I understand it is that there's digital circuit translating manual controls (knobs) to actual states of various stages of analog circuit, which is then processing the signal. Advantage is that underlaying analog circuit can be much more complex and single knob can be translated to multiple "virtual" knobs controlling multiple analog stages.
What you're describing is absolutely possible using digital pots (Tech21 use something similar on the Bass Driver and VT Bass Deluxe for presets) but the only digital circuit I'm aware of is for the control of the LEDs on the Super Symmetry Compressor and on the M900 amp and footswitch for channel switching (which is why a normal footswitch won't work!). There's the CD4049 CMOS chip that's in the M900, B*K and Vintage pedals though. It's a hex inverter buffer chip but not being used for digital logic! The Way Huge Red Llama (and a few other pedals - the Damnation Audio MBD-1 too I think) uses the same chip for distortion.
 4. For a build like this you may need to list the actual parts used and show gut pics to illicit any sort of interest. Looks a tidy build!
next one under way another fuzz dog kit. its juicy and blue and all being well berrylicious. to be honest for a complete novice i think the kits are ideal. a bit like painting by numbers with solder.
Good choice. Best pedal I've ever owned. I've added a few mods to mine which made it even better for me.
 6. I'll second the SBL suggestion. Have a good go through his lessons on youtube first and maybe give his free trial a go. You'll know after that if you want to continue with it. You may get enough out of that to keep you going... Take notes...
 7.
I'm in trouble! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V59d8LTYpx0&feature=push-u&attr_tag=V0J3h9UcoNoC8s3J-6
Oh no...
 8. Damn straight!
 9. I was close a few weeks ago... But prymaxe won't ship Tech21 pedals outside US and I'm not paying the UK price for one! Bought a used vt bass deluxe instead for my IEM setup...
 10. I wouldn't call it metal at all. Hard rock, MAYBE...
 11. Love hearing this sort of thing! Health to enjoy!
 12.
Anyone else think it looks like Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy? Or is it just me?
I knew there was something familiar about it!
Yeah I saw that but it doesn't seem to print the right size for me, despite the instructions stating to the contrary! I'll probably just end up nicking your idea!
Check your print driver isn't scaling. Mine was.
 14. '173 views and not a single bite'-type bump!
 15. Afraid to say that headstock looks a bit too Ritter-like for me... Not that there's anything wrong with Ritter, but this isn't one!
Does anyone know where I can get this led covers ? I manage to find them in polish shop but can't find it anywhere in UK. It might be because I don't know its proper name. Ah yes, and one more thing. How do you cover legs of transistors? Is it heatshrink?
They're called frenzel lenses i believe. And you use the plastic insulation you've stripped off wires for that particular look...

 18. Recently bought from Kevsy71, but I've decided to go to a pedalboard based in-ear rig so this is surplus to requirements... And I need funds for my silent rehearsal room project. Used for just one rehearsal I'm confident it's in exactly the same condition as when I bought it (Full working order. Cosmetically almost as new, there is a tiny scratch between the words POWER and VOLUME on the faceplate which you can see in the photos) so here's the link to some more of Kevs pics (hope he doesn't mind): https://www.flickr.c...th/30432213253/ Come with original Orange bag, original box, power lead, a speakon cable and a (fitted) ECC83/5751-PHILIPS (Philips ECG JAN) which lowers the gain to a more flexible level. I would return it to standard if I was keeping it - prefer the original configuration myself! I love these amps. This is the 3rd I've owned, and if circumstances were to change I'd own another in a flash. Price is £300 (firm) + postage.
 19.
Would this be of any interest..? Ebay: S/H Kontakt 5 Full bundle for sale ... No idea at what price it'll go for in the end, of course, but that's the way to reduce the cost.
On it! Thanks for that!
 20. That's the drop D monorail bridge Ibanez had on some of their 4 string basses in the 90's/00's. Not headless though.
 21.
Isn't there a droppable bridge piece for headless basses? I'm sure I've seen one with a lever which pulls away from the body. I'll hit Google in a bit and see if I didn't dream it.
You may be thinking of the Steinberger Drop D bridge...
 22. I'd buy and live with a Series 3000 before spending too much money...
 23. Often imitated, never equaled. He'll be sorely missed...
