1. One of the woolly mammoth clones is probably your best shout. The Mooer FOG or the Little Bear BS1. Or you could build your own if you can wield a soldering iron (or know someone else who can!): http://shop.pedalpar...4_13549292.aspx But you could build a fuzz factory if that were the case: http://shop.pedalparts.co.uk/Filth_Fack!_-_Crazy_Germanium_Fuzz,__board-mount_version_-_vertical_config/p847124_13549341.aspx
2. Slightly off topic Gaz, but your band sound the mutts nutts! Really liking that bandcamp stuff. Been on a Russian Circles bing lately and that fits right in!
Each pedal has its own level control so should be ok thanks
Yes but results may be unpredictable without a buffer between the 2 outputs as you're effectively connecting them together if you see what I mean. Suck it and see though. May be fine! If it works this way then the series parallel thing IS easy, btw!
Thanks. Yeah, on balance, I think my mate who said it's easy doesn't quite get it, as I've had several very qualified people sayin it's pretty complicated. Maybe I'll have to forego the luxury of series and just get an ABY pedal
While an ABY will probably work to a degree (assuming you're talking about using it backwards i.e. the output effect 1 to A, output of effect 2 to B, input of the switcher as output) you should ideally have some sort of buffer/mix circuit to control the mix of the 2 signals.
5. Meshuggah in Dublin in January, Devin Townsend Project in Glasgow in March. Not much else on the horizon. Maybe Slomatics in Belfast in October, which is odd for me since they are sans bass player and I don't typically hold with such nonsense...
Hi Never done anything like this before, but thinking of exploring the possibilities. Basically I have two pedals which I want to be able to run either in parallel, or one into the other. I want to make a box with two inputs on one side, a switch determining "A+B" or "A into B", then a single output. Some reliable sources say this is very difficult, others say it's a simple switch. Anyone want to say one way or the other?
A little tricky, but not impossible! You'll need some sort of mix circuitry to handle the parallel option which adds complication. I think the people saying it's simple might be mixing it up with an "A or B"/"A into B" type pedal which can be done just with foot switches! The parallel option is the kicker.

8. What's the free candy based on Andy? Any idea?
9. At least he didn't use the h-word... Oh he did... So is chunk better than heft then? Do I need to upgrade again?
10. Leave it switched to 4 ohm. It'll handle an 8 ohm load in that configuration no problem.
11. I'd looked at the XR1212 to do something similar a few years back. Looks like a great desk. Do you use the auto setup features at all?
12. Just listened to a few clips on youtube. Sounds like a great wee pedal that!
13.
I had an 83 SQ series, the ones after JV. Sen Ash and different pickups. Stupid to sell it. Mine was something special... But I needed the dough.
Same story here. I had an SQ Precision, a little abused but bought locally for £100 - the guy was a drummer and didn't know what he had! It kicked my US Precision's arse, which was no slouch itself! Only problem is the US Precision was a wedding present from my wife so I couldn't get rid of it when I needed GAS coupons. So I sold my Squier locally for £250. Went back to the guy a while later and offered to buy it back but no dice...
14. Play it before buying. I always fancied one until I played one. It didn't suit me at all.
15. I wonder if flea had played some slappity slap for Koko would she have done the decent thing and taken the bass off him?
16. Personally I'd be looking at an original, hand built one rather than the more recent PCB effort which is big money considering how it's built. Over £2.5k new for PCB mounted valve sockets... I'd buy a Trinity TripTop myself...
17. Up the budget a little and you're into Lakland 55-01 territory. 19mm spacing and the best neck in the business. Sire V7 is 18mm and it's no slouch either...
18. ...continue to be tempted by one of these... Anybody want an Enabler?...
19. Interested to hear what you think Dan. This one has been on the radar for a while! Always gets mentioned in the same breath as the blueberry... Which is the most awesome driveyness ever for bass if you ask me...

21. There are a few videos on YouTube, but they are, without exception, pointless crap!
22. Interesting new offering from Engl I spotted while perusing Thomann today: https://www.thomann.de/gb/engl_ironbass_e1055.htm
23.
...a nugget of purest Green.
Nothing really to add to this thread except that that was one of the finest moments in the history of British comedy...
