2.
Wow! This is cool, and some local stores too! Pity no PA or mics, exactly what we need. Might help to force our drummer to upgrade from his Fisher Price My First Drum Kit though
ha ha bye bye koby electronic kit for us! (thank fack)
 3.
MB1. "....Shirt?...Shirt?..Where is Shirt?"* * see... Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band.
Touché
 4.
is it really interest free? They said student loans were interest free then they just compound at a rate slightly above the base rate. Given the money problems we are all about to suffer i would recommend wee british companies may need your interest free money more than Fender corp. or yamaha corp. or whoever...
it is 100% free* *i have not checked my facts
 5. looks like a gay mans shirt*. *this is not a homophobic post.
 6.
Hi, Count me in for the 15th February - I would like to donate a prize for the raffle - namely a fretless Epiphone EB1 re-issue (2001) in very good condition complete with Fender gig bag and strap. See you on the 15th Feb. Rhino.
WOW! i'll be buying me some of them tickets!
 7. jut put a price on it and stop toying with our fragile emotions!
 8.
Weird really in the states you get the impression peavey are the working bass players amp of choice. Must admit the late 80's early 90's torquise lettered front's look nasty
now i'm no fashionister but the peavey logo and colour choice as always upset me. shame they are fantastic value amps.
 9. crazy gods of endless noise.... the name of the bassist escapes me.
 10. i just want and amp/speakers no instument.
 11.
It's a cracking idea. The participating shops tend to be specialists in bassoons and cellos rather than electric/electronic instruments though. And there are limitations in what you can buy; I think computer-based instruments don't qualify, nor do amps and speakers. It's been a few years since I looked though, might have changed.
boo if true.
 12. wow is that just me or is that a cracking idea?
 13.
Peavey do a 2x10 for about 159 ponds from G.A.K
just found one on ebay. but it's to far away and seller says NO POSTAGE! dang it.
 14.
One of the problems with reviews is that there isn't that much equipment out there that is truly terrible. It tends to range between 'bland but kind of does what it's supposed to' and 'pretty good, could live with it'. There's also the problem that there is inherent variability in quality of what comes off the production line. A manufacturer or distributor is not going to pick an instrument at random and send it as is. It's inevitable that they're going to choose one of the better ones and put in a little bit of extra effort in preparing them for review.
on that note did you see the p bass on front a while a go? you could still see the plastic around the jack input. made my failed photograpgy a level of ten years ago blood boil!
 15.
The editor of BGM came up from Devon and supported the SE Bass Bash in September. He had his own session and talked about the magazine and answered a number of questions about the magazine, some quite pointed. At the end of the day it's a commercial undertaking. If you don't like it OP then I challenge you to start a rival magazine and make it pay. BTW I have no connection with BGM, it's editorial staff or its publishers.
you should read my post.
 16. just a point of note. i did refer to the little book/dvd/cd reviews. there equipment reviews are tip top. carry on.
 17.
being perfectly honest, you are unlikely to get anything decent for £50 unless you are very lucky. I did see a Hartke 210 TP cab in Smack Generator for £69. I used to have a similar setup to what you saw. I had a 7210 2x10" Trace combo with a 1048H cab underneath. It produced a healthy amount of bass but required an unhealthy amount of lifting to move the bugger. Tough as nails. the 4x10" survived a drop down a flight of stairs with the guitarist still holding onto it against a wall at the bottom with only a bit of a dent.
when i say £50 i mean as cheap as poss. or something really old knackered and smelly.
 18. just let it flow, it's fine. people just need to take a deep breath and chill. let nature run its course. if the way of the forum bothers you, stop using it. Jah?
 19. ..to play early grunge / fuzz. anychatters with any connections get in touch.
 20.
Its still miles and miles behind Bassplayer, and Yes I know they have multi millions behind them, and yes I know its all adverts (which it isnt) and yes I know in the USA they have everything 3 months before us... But its better......it just is.
i might go back to reading that. still no ones answered question 2.
 21. A couple of thoughts popped into my head whilst warming the throne this moring and browsing through an old BGM, 1 - When ever they review a book/cd/dvd they are always extemely nice about it...no matter how poor it is. A kind of well done attitude rather than a could of been better one. 2 - 'THE UK's NUMBER ONE BASS GUITAR MAGAZINE' - is there another? other than that great read. have a think Warmest Regards
 22. How many Laney RB7 owners (or something along those lines) are playing their combo with an extension cab? The reason i ask is i am looking for a £50 cab to beef up the movement coming from my faithful noise box. I'm searching for anything speaker size wise but so far no luck. So if you have this kind of set up, let me know what i should look at. (seen something on telly, a cool looking 2X10 combo stacked on a 4x10 cab, was ace)
 23. gonna have to buy one for my new fuzz project.
 24. good write up in BGM. anybody used one? got sound clips?
