1.
Sorry, but shouldn't this be in Miscellaneous Equipment and Accessories section? Just tell me No, and I'll just get my coat then.
NO! well maybe....,who cares? with all the sub forums going on here it's complicated enough! well for my poor head it is.
2. i think i shoul just be left and if anything comes from a bad sale/purchase then the person should be named and shamed like a kiddie fiddler on this board. Phase 2 should be a 'cock' fight between the 2 people. If the accused loses then they are stoned to death like the olden days. anyone?
3. Is bax global hte company of an evil super villan? remember to let us know how the decade is.
4. Well I have never been able to find the right strings in all my years of bass playing. As a youngster I used Slinkys, did the job and the local guitar shop always had them in. However the seemed to snap when i thrashed out on them. I then migrated to elites. A very sturdy bass string indeed, long lasting a quite kid on my soft chubby hands. I also gave Rotosound a bash once or twice but was never impressed. Anyhoo i got so D'Addario Prosteels. Put them on last night and LOVED them. They are very very bright and in the long run may have to purchase some nickle wounds instead but for now and in my tiny little mind they seem to be the best first impression set of stings i have set up with! the D and G seem very tight? but i no nothing of tensions etc. and they may be to bright for my bands sound. but those things will tell over the next couple of weeks. only time will tell if i stick with them. I just thought i'd share that with you as this is BASSCHAT
5. i can't read
6. Glad i live in yorkshire, love it. well sometimes. However i had the chance to move away on many occasions. Turned each one down. As it was not to puruse a career as a solo/session/working bass player. but band related and i dont buy thayt stuff that bands have to move to london to 'make it'. that theroy has been dead for the past 20 years. Real talent gets found. but if there is nothing holding you back then go.

15.
I was thinking (have passed this past Dave Ryan's nose as well) of a clinic at Electro Music in Doncaster in the new year. Where we don't just show off our gear & chat, but we get to share experiences & technical knowhow with no pressure from "known" celeb players or anything. How does that sound? Rich.
i havnt been there in years. is it still as excellent as i seem to remember it being?
16. Anybody purchase strings through a stringbuster.co.uk? if so had problems with them? Used them before no problem. Ordered a set of strings on sunday, internet went down came back on and the payment had gone through twice. Checked on my stringbuster account and there is no trace of the order even though money has left my bank. emailed them twice but to no avail. anybody been in the same boat of late?
