Would you be interested in doing a swap for my 5-string Valenti #11? You can get full specs off the Valenti website and i can give you pics if you like. It's basically a P bass with Nordstrand dual coil pickups and coil taps for each pickup with an aguilar OBP-1 in it.
Thanks for the offer, but I am not looking for swaps as I am slimming down my collection. I have got to the stage that I have the Bass's that I need and will never sell and so a number of my collection are just not going to see daylight unless they go to a good home. -
Try as I might, I do not get on with Jazz Basses! I guess I always will be a P Bass man. So clearing out some of my Basses that I do not use is part of my New Years Resolution. LPB Jazz V with Sims leds, Buckle Rash at the back, and a couple of small dents, other than that very clean. It is time to make some room, as I use my Black 79 and CS 59 most of the time this great Bass is just sitting in its case and needs a new home. The condition for the year is very good, A couple of paint cracks on the front, (about the size of a thumb nail), and buckle rash on the back. The body still has that shine to it, as does the neck. As far as I can tell it is all original, although the Pickguard is single ply white rather than three ply, I have afeeling that it was on the White ones though, (if you know different let me know). This bass has the Schaller Clover Leaf tuners, the beefed up base plate for the bridge, white PUP covers, and bi-flex truss rod. 2008 Vintage Guitar price guide shows value at between $900 - $1,500, (at todays rate equiv to £750 - £1,250), so I am looking for a sensible offer somewher in that range.

Very strange that! The three people that were involved in this thread all had very rare 1991 40th Ann P basses? Sold mine to a friend about 3 years ago, he now lives in France and has still got it. What is the chances of that? -

What do you want to know? -
I got someone to put together a piece of wood with a Fuse box with RCD's and 4 sockets. Now everything, (except the lighs), plugs into this so there is no diferetial between equipment. Cost about £60, worth every penny!
Bargain! If it wasn't huge and heavy I'd be mighty tempted to pair it with my LH500. Good luck and merry Christmas
Thanks, and you two. Its my own fault, i cannot be doing with Evil Bay at the moment, otherwise I am sure it would have gone by now!
so much man! im so excited with it, that i actually dont think of Jake anymore. so its kinda weird that some ppl think of him more than i do, when i was the one who got ripped off *lol* i was also at fault... talking to rob helped me realized that... i was really careless with the transaction as well... as for Jake... he has two lock threads worth of posts to read and get ideas of what he should do to sort of redeem himself more in the forums. while i do not want anything to do with Jake anymore... i have to admit, it will really really impress me, if he did something like pay back gman, or donate a significant chunk of money to charity... if he does that, i would believe in his remorse and guilt... and i would gladly send him a card for christmas or something.
Thats great news, every time you play that Bass you must think of the good stuff that went on to get it too you. With all this provenance it must have increased the value of the Bass 10 fold! -

I think his P bass should cover it, and I think that Jake should offer this off his own back rather than be forced into it! -

Looks a bit like my collection, only I got a few more Strats rather than PRS's and a few more P basses! Did I just admit to that on Basschat? -
Just checked the library and I think I can saftely say that very little on this bass is Fender! The case and the neck plate, (although they are both from much later than 83). The logo on the headstock is correct for the year, but it would unlikely to be from Fender unless it was pinched from them. Still and nice looking bass, and if it sounds good even better! If I get chance I will post a picture of my 83 bass later.
