Wembley Loudspeakers is the place for this - despite the name they're in Shepherds Bush. Most other places you could try just send the speakers off to them for reconing. They also do a replacement service, where they can exchange your speaker for one that has already been refurbished, but you've got to be a little lucky for them to have something suitable in stock.
Thanks for the info, I will contact them and get my TE back in good shape!

Washburn XB-600 six string Bass, as New!

I would be interested in what speaker you go for, I noticed mine is torn in my GP7 250 and I need to replace it so was thinking should I get it repaired or replace it? Also if anyone knows best place to get one from it would be great. By the way they are great amps, (bit heavy). Mine is the first type with the black covering and must have had it for close on 10 years with no problems, (other than the speaker, but it still works), for bigger venues I add the 2 x 10 underneath, for even bigger venues the V8 comes out. Washburn XB-600 six string Bass, as New!
sixshooter replied to sixshooter's topic in Basses For Sale
I must admit it plays quite well, (although the extent of my playing it was about 5 mins at the most), however I saved it from its fate of being turned into a five string by someone with a black and decker and no skill. I will never play it as I have a 6 string Modulus, a 5 string Jazz and a number of 4 string basses so this just stays in its box. -
Just put this up for sale on Ebay and thought that someone here may like a bargin! I have not used this and it is still in its box. I saved it from being turned into a 5 string by somone who could not manage a 6 string..... "In as New condition, with all original packing, labels and even unopened lead! Just to be on the safe side I would say 9.5 out of 10 but I don't think it has been used in anger at all. I saved it from someone who was going to change it to a five string and I could not let that happen and have never used it myself, (I have plenty of others that I use). I am now thining down my collection so this one has got to go! 6-string bass made by Washburn in a beautiful transparent red nice quilted top over a maple body, it has a maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and is fitted with the Buzz Feiten tuning system for more audibly acceptable, measured intonation. It is equiped with two soapbar style pickups giving a great sound, and is suitable for all styles of playing. It has active circuitry, bass and treble controls and total control over the pickups. I have checked over the Bass and can't see any mark's or scatches and it looks as good as, (if not better than) any Bass you would see hanging up in a Guitar shop! This Bass realy does deserve to be played and not sit in its original packing for ever, so it needs a good home with a player not a collector." What is all this talk about selling! this is concept that is totally alien to me and I am sure that you have all been put up to this by my wife. I thought you were all nice people who loved Bass and amps and cables and effects but no! you keep talking about selling these wonderfull collectable items....... I have never had a problem with GAS The problem I have is the lack of money to buy all those wonderfull Bass Guitars. Now what I realy need is another piece of kit for my collection. But don't tell the wife please

Anyone fancy trying out a V8 through a TE 4 x 12? Or how about a 1959 P Bass? A Modulus Oteil 6 string? Got any space in your car Dave?

The Basscentre is no longer a shop.
sixshooter replied to 6stringbassist's topic in General Discussion
If it wasn't for the Basscentre: I would not have my beloved Modulus Oteil 6 string I would not have my never to be without kickback 12" (great for small pubs, and kind on the back) I have never been to Basscentre since it moved, so the answer has got to be move it back and get the old staff in! Then everyone will be happy Cause no one had a bad experince before it moved did they -
Not bad when you think she was a guitar player and only started playing bass about 4 years ago! Saw her on the Crossroads DVD last week, she is good, very good if you like that sort of thing and I do being a Guitar/Bass player.... No I meant the playing honest

2nd Gig ever 38 years ago, broke my G string on my Bass just before I was about to play and did not have a spare Bass or string. Went on and played without a G string, if you pardon the expression!

Now you ask, yes I have! I was in Bass Center when it was in Docklands when my wife drew my attention to this fantastic 6 string. I played it loved it and had to have it but it was much too expensive and I could not afford it. I thought about it all week without being able to get it out of my mind, so thought I would make a silly offer, (1 thousand pounds less than the asking price) and they said yes! Many years later I still have it, and still love it. What is it? A Modulus OB1 Oteil Burbridge signature 6 String, one of the actual two reviewed by Steve Lawson in Guitarist, I think Steve still has the other one, a fretless. You are right Mybass, I say more Bass! And I say that with authority being the proud owner of a V8!

Hi Dave, be intrested to see what happens on Sat at the gig, I will make sure I take the Marshall although it will by then be on wheels so that may make a difference. I could always take the Fender as well and use one for the first half and the other for the second half? As for the shoot the guitarist brigade, I am also a Bass player and have every right to blame guitarist as well, I know what that lot are like! By the way, the PA desk appears to be still functioning even after it vibrated off the top of the Bass Amp, guess that might have been transference from my Marshall, anyong got any thoughts on that? Looking forward to Saturday, lets hope some of the people from Basschat can attend to see the experiment!
