1. Hi Dennis, they are 8ohms each weight wise I would have to check on the web as they are not easy due to the size to just weigh them on the bathroom scales. However I can pick each one up with one hand and I am over 60 and not a weight trainer :-). If I find the weight I will post it. Steve
2. 1 x 15 sold subject to payment and collection. 4 x 10 still available.
3. Very strange that I dropped the price on these cabinets over a week ago, had 4 people immediately show interest, I replied to the emails and never heard anything back from any of them. If for some reason my return emails did not get to you and you are still interested please let me know. Alternatively if you are interested and were not one of the 4 please also let me know. thanks Steve
4. Last and final price drop, any lower than this and they either go on ebay or into storage :-)
5. Price dropped because I want a quick sale preferably to a Basschat member before they go on eBay. These are great speakers and at £600 for the pair an absolute steal.
6. Thanks Dave, think one of these cabs may have originally come from our basschat pal Old Horse Murphy. The memory does play tricks on me sometimes.

10.
Mmmmm, interesting, this bass also came with a black guard & someone's just offered me a pair of original '78 creamy white DiMarzio pickups that would slot right in. I've always preferred tort guards on a black body but the all black with white pickups sounds kinda funky for a 'hot-rodded' late '70's P bass. Just the kind of thing someone would have done at the time
I have active EMG pickups on my Black 79P with maple neck which weighs a ton but sounds awesome!
11.
Sixshooter, if your question was aimed at me, there isn't one at Running Horse any more. The one that was there is now at Royal Children on Wednesday nights. The one on Sunday afternoons-early evening (currently 3pm-7pm) is at The Greyhound in Beeston; http://www.greyhoundbeeston.co.uk/Greyhound/Welcome.html The web site still says 2pm-6pm but it was changed to an hour later a while ago.
Thanks Kev, I guess I have been a little spoilt in that there is a Jam night almost every night in Surrey and usually a choice of several all advertised every week via Facebook. I will be taking a couple of weeks off soon so I may try and get to Royal Children and also The Greyhound. Steve
12.
Hello Sixshooter. We were interlopers from East Grinstead! We were probably attempting to play Hendrix at the time.
Lived in East Grinstead when I got married first time around (1975) for 2 years, and remember playing in a couple of the local pubs including one in Dormandsland? Good times! but then I had to get a proper job
13. I have been looking for Jam venues in the area so I will have to check these ones out, problem is that I work down south in the week and only get back "home" at the weekend. What time and day is the Running Horse Jam on?
14.
Hi Everyone, Here is a picture of me playing my first bass at Crawley Bandstand in about 1972. I bought it for a fiver and it lasted me quite well. It was a Framus, I thought it was a Star Bass but it can't have been. I've never seen one since or found a photo anywhere of such an instrument. Has anyone ever come across one of these? Note the home made control plate - the original chrome one kept falling off because the screw holes wore out and it was sellotaped on for a time till I made a new wooden one. Those were the days! The amp was an Impact 60 and the speaker cabinet homemade with a Goodman's 18" speaker in it.
Love the photo! I played the Bandstand around that time as well, brought up in good old Crawley....used to practice in the old WW2 tin huts around the back of Tilgate Lakes, it was bitterly cold in the winter I remember, thats where I played my first and only Hofner Violin Bass which belonged to Bret Marvin and the Thunderbolts, tried it the once and decided not for me.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT As far as my limited knowledge goes it looks pretty good, but am I missing something. Seems a good price too compared to our Kings road or ''Music (rip me off please) Ground''
It look original to me, case is right, tuners are wide thread, cap, pots all look right, paint looks ok but I have seen and had re-spays that would conince the best. As for price, I would say about right if its not a re-spray, if it is about $4k too much. Steve
16.
Yeah I played at the Bell a couple of times when I was uni up there, good venue, not sure about jam nights though. I know that there are a few acoustic nights at Ryans and a few other bars, possibly 5 Lamps at the bottom of Keddleston Road (if it's still open...?); they may have jam nights too.
thanks for the info
17. PM'd Steve
18. Thanks for the info, I will check out the Old Bell!
19. I guess Derby does not have any music jams judging by the lack of responses maybe I chose the wrong place to live?
20. Hi, not new here but thought I would mention that I have moved from Surrey to Derby and wondered if there is any info available on Jams in and around the Derby area? I will still be Jamming in the Surrey area in the week as I will continue to work down in Surrey. thanks Steve
21. Both now up on Evil Bay LD150 Controller
22.
I'm pretty sure there's a difference of appearance mate. The mark ii are inter for use with some of the newer amps. They allow you to upload to your amp (spider series) so I would assume they have a usb on?
Thanks for the info, in that case it is a Mk 1, It was bought at the same time as the amp so works fine with it.
