  1. Hi Gottastopbuyinggear, Width at the deepest part of the neck pocket is 62mm on my Bitsa . Hope this helps Pete
  2. That looks Brilliant , I love natural a wood body . Is it Rosewood fingerboard , or ebony ?
  3. Hi, I cant find my build thread anywhere .................................. I have always used thin veneer ( of different thicknesses ) of about 12 mm wide across the width of pocket . Never had any issue with joint not being solid , or any loss of sustain . In fact the Bitsa Jazz above , I am thinking of putting some form of damper by bridge , because there is too much sustain . One thing I did ( this may be of help - may not ) when I aligned the neck to the body , I laid a 24" steel straight edge along each side of the neck , and once it was dead center to the pup cut outs , scored ( hidden underneath the scratchplate ) two lines which I can use in future if I ever have to take the neck off . Any other questions , just ask . Pete
  4. Yep , I realised that at the gig…………..next Sat will disconnect one cab and see.................................... Do you use a Warwick LWA1000 then ? Pete
  5. Hi , Just wondered if anyone uses a Warwick LWA1000 head , and into what cabs ? I have just done my first gig with this head and 2 of these cabs , the sound is massive ! I gave up ( well my back told me to ) using my Mesa Boogie Head and Cabs , so I went lightweight . Pete
  6. Nice one !
  7. Hi Gottastopbuyinggear, The neck to body fit was ok, but had to shim the neck angle to get enough clearance of pups and height of bridge . It did take quite a bit of extra work to get the neck aligned to body . The nut was not cut , had to do that myself ( being an ex guitar teck of some 20 years - was no problem ) The fretting is OK ,but for the first few months , I was continually dressing fret ends ( I think the wood used was not seasoned correctly and was shrinking , making the fret ends stick out - but its ok now . I will measure up the width later on today for you , and also dig out the posting I did on the build of this . I have used her now for about 12 months gigging , and would not change her . Pete
  8. Someone must need this .......................go on make me an offer bump ! Now on fleabay as well .

  12. Hi, I have just bought one ...and saw this thread ...realize its 9 monts old but and you may already have this info ..... VERY clean and un coloured with Bass , Lo Mid , High Mid and Treble set to 12 o`clock . Eq controls are excellent , small movements are plenty , same with the gain and the compressor........well I love it . Have not used it at a gig yet ( over next three weekends I will ) I have had it running ( only in my Garage ) into my two G&K 212 Mk II Neo cabs ( also new ) and it sounds fab . Not exactly the right invironment for a trial , but I could only have the master on about 9 o`clock , and the doors were shaking - plenty of power headroom , no middle "honk" which I always had with my Mesa Boogie Rig ( which is up for sale now ) . You get a footswitch and a stereo cable with it , which allows you to plug into either channel and switch between them . One setback with the footswitch , there is no led indicating which channel you are using . I love the Retro look with wooden sides - just like an old stereo amp from the 70`s ( yes I remember them ! ) The reason for getting this set up was that the Mesa Rig was just too heavy , now my back will have a rest . Will let you know how it all sounds , after a couple of gigs . Pete
  13. Go on , make me an offer bump !
  14. Hi, Sorry for late reply , been away on holiday........................only looking for a sale at moment . Pete
  15. Hi, Sorry , not at moment . If the rig does not sell in a few weeks , I may split then . Thanks Pete
  16. Its a brilliant set up , just that my lower back does not agree and at 69 years old ( me not the rig ! ) , its just too heavy !. Pete
