In excellent working condition,All keys trigger and in good cosmetic condition a few minor scratches on the rear but nothing bad. Comes with 3 Hardwired expansions and 2 plug in expansion cards. Blurb- The XP-30 is a 64-voice Expandable Synthesizer that offered all of the great sounds of the XP and JV series at a more affordable price tag than previous XP-synths. Roland's XP-80 was a flagship workstation in its time, but by reducing the keyboard down to a standard 61 key (with velocity and aftertouch), elimination of the on-board sequencer, and fewer expansion card slots, the XP-30 was able to offer the XP-experience at a price within reach of serious musicians at any level. The XP-30 does retain the XP-series synthesis architecture and all the world-renowned sound sets of the acclaimed XP-80 workstation, plus all the waveforms from the "Session", "Orchestral", and "Techno" expansion cards. It adds, however, a boat-load more patch storage than its more famous predecessors: there are 1,406 patches and 28 drum kits. Fortunately there is a Patch Finder and Phrase Preview for quick navigation and sound selection. Besides the two expansion slots for installing the SR-JV80-Series expansion boards, a SmartMedia card slot provides additional storage capability. Plenty of controls and four assignable Sound Palette sliders let you get deep into editing and programming its sounds.

I bought a Gibson Thunderbird not really expecting to like it as much after owning a Epi T Bird and not getting on with that but I love it now, They do get classed as muddy but I think they can adapt to any style much like a P bass and the shape is just up my street and very lightweight even after a few hours.

What is your favourite piece of music featuring a precision bass?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQHkDBqnvwE&feature=youtube_gdata_player Lovely knarley tone and was my calling to be a bass player. -
I had 24's in mine and like most have said you do not get the performance edge being so isolated (Sound wise) so I swapped to 17's and can feel the music more now,I still take a plug out for the odd song just to hear it at full blast but I just prefer the lower volume with both plugs in.
Have a bump! I own the 8x8" and is a very nice Rock cab, lots of bass and it's not too heavy (44kg). It was more than €800 new.
Thanks, It is a great cab, I'll be sorry to see it go but it looks like it has so the Henry is now on Hold. Cheers

2 great cabs Pre Fender with PAS speakers, Both sound slightly different but they are the best sounding cabs I've owned. 1st Up is a Henry The 8x8, 4 ohm's in perfect working order but I took the original rat fur off and painted it with a stipple cabinet paint but it looks pretty good for its age. Tilt and Roll on the back so its easy to move around. £300. Next is a Goliath Snr 6x10 in excellent working condition,Tilt and Roll. A few minor scrapes but pretty good cosmetic condition for its age. £350. These are pickup only due to their size and weight, but I could travel a little bit if it helps. Not looking for any trades. Cheers Si

Like Ben said don't skrimp on the PA and if your looking to go into functions buy bigger than you need now, The older HK stuff is pretty bullet proof but heavy but sounds superb -you can get a Actor system for about £1500 thats 4 subs and 2 tops powered.

I Have a '96 Excess changed the 2 band Eq to a Glockenkland 3 band Eq like the Roger Glover and TBH its the only bass I'd never sell, Superb neck and playability second to none also very lightweight. Picked it up off BC/BW a good few years ago for a good price. I'd love a newer Glover version but they don't seem to come up SH very often. It looks like this one on Ebay at the moment, Great colour/Pick guard to play onstage with for that Lynott effect.

Bought some Roland Midi pedals before and they came quickly and at a good price but with my brother living there he brings what I need over when he calls now.

If its a scam I feel sorry for the guy with 4 of them but there again he might end up with £2k of synth. -

From a soundmans place, Make sure the drum kit is miked its amazing how much space a miked kit takes up in the mix and while your at it bleed a bit of the bass signal in there too.
