1. Bought my lovely Schroeder off me today and gave me a load of money for it- can't be bad, Only thing I managed to lose him from the place we met to the place we where going but he tracked me down in the end Real nice guy to deal with and hope you enjoy the cab and the pedal. Thanks again Si
2. +1 I've had Mesa's,Ampegs, Sunns,TE,Markbass mostly Valve amps and my RH450 + TC 212+210 gets so close to the Tube amps sound wise it's amazing,I think the TC cabs make a lot of difference to the head TBH with being vertical aligned and work so well together-you get the sound right at ear level with very little volume.
3. Just released in English and prob the best guide to setting your bass up- http://www.jerzydrozdbasses.com/

6. I think its more like the time of year and the general lack of money, I saw a US Gibson T-Bird go for £512 on Sunday night and a Fender Bassman 300 (All Tube) & matching 6x10 cab go for £680 just amazing prices...
7. Last gig we did I bollocked up most of the first set and had a shocker remembering any songs went outside drunk a Red Bull and played an absolute blinding second set- Next gig I'm going to experiment with a combination of Red Bull Drinks & Red Bull Tablets
8. I've got the 210 and 212 and I love them I think the way they are stacked makes a hell of a lot of difference to the sound and especially your sound monitoring requirement I normally have my Rebelhead set at 10am and its plenty for a loudish band, I would imagine 2 x 210 would be best for most people and they have a very small stage footprint stacked, but for me who rehearse's in a large factory I needed the added humph of the 212 just for a bit of low end kick. I don't mind the paint finish either its the same colour as HK use on there PA cabs so is easy to touch up if they every get damaged ( I use the padded cover that TC produce and they work out at £19 each, Bargain compared to others) The Hf driver in the top cone sounds great too very smooth sounding and not harsh at all and yes They do look different but anything new takes a bit of getting use to but I think for a new product they have hit the nail on the head.
9. Thats a beauty why do they not reissue these.
10. Its gone now I'm not surprised, One of the few valve amps I've never owned.
11. Pretty keen price for one of these- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Hiwatt-Custom-DR200-...=item4cec827878 Must Resist..
12. I've got the Rebelhead and the RS210 + RS212 and the Cabs make a hell of a lot of difference to the sound, the top speaker is at a level to chest so its just like standing in front of a Ampeg Fridge with that lovely feeling of the sound hitting you in the back (You don't even need much volume for this I was set at 10'oclock) Fair enough you can tilt a normal cab up but you lose the bottom end a little bit when you do this and it just does not feel the same as a speaker at chest height, I'd imagine most people would be happy with 2 x RS210's but the RS212 gives a bit more depth and bottom end with the 2 rear ports. I'm really impressed with the thinking behind the rig and the sound is so close to what I've always used in the past but always weighing 100lb's more.
13. Crazy Price for our Antrim Basschaters. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Yamaha-DTxpress-Digi...=item23040e9044
14. Saw them in the Early '80 and the backline was so loud if you walked from one side of the venue right to left you just got the each Marshall Stack shooting directly in your ears over the top of the PA mix,Awesome band You just know when some bands have payed there dues.
15.
You mean thats you beating one of my ex's!!! The bass on sale here is a steal - someone purchase it as I am again totally bereft of monies! ATB! Nick
Thanks Nick how do the Passions compare to the Arpege BTW never tried a Arpege . Cheers Si
16.
Mmm, nice Vigier Passion. Here's my Series 3 being given a good beating ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3cdn7O6tXE
Thanks and there's some nice playing going on there. Also Thanks Ollie and Beneath it All for the comments (Still play your Birch Ollie, it gets a lot of complements that one!) Bump for new Photo's.
17. Thanks for the nice comments everyone, like I said Stunning Bass and offers something different from the Current 10/90's necks soundwise (Still got my Vigier Excess so I'm not leaving the Club totally, and I'm still looking for a Roger Glover Excess). I'll get some Pics of the Rear of the Neck up tonight. Cheers Si
18. Bought this from Beneath it All earlier this year and looking to buy some TC cabs b4 Christmas so this has to go. Without a doubt this is the nicest bass I've ever played the neck is soooo Perfect it makes any style effortless. Its a early Series 2 with the full graphite thru neck and without the Body graphic on the lower part and is No 28 which is '85 according to Patrice's website. The Bass is a easy 9/10 and is in superb condition for its age. Looking for £900 cash (Saw a Early White Passion sell for £1000 on the 'Bay last month) or I might be interested in a trade for a couple of light weight Cabs ie Bergs/Tecamps,Ags or even a Orange ad200 amp. Cash of course either way up to the value. I'm going to Manchester this Sunday so if anyone going to Bassday I will be around with the bass if required. Cheers Si Pics- (Special thanks to Mick for letting me use his photo's Top Guy) And my not very good efforts-
19. Met Steve yesterday to trade a Ric for a Mesa Combo really nice guy with impeccable taste in all things Bass, Pleasure to meet you Steve and a fine band your in too. Thanks Again Si.
20.
Hi Alex if you can fit me in I would be happy to pick the cab up from Josh in Preston and meet up with guyl from Manchester or drop it off for them as I am halfway between them in Chorley. I won't get chance to gig it so would be happy mid-week for just a night to give it a thrashing.... cheers...Paul
I'd be happy to try the Cab if Paul gets it, again depending on how it falls I prob won't gig it but will be able to drop off in Manchester no problem. Cheers Si
21. I would say when you try one move the Low frequency down a bit- I read somewhere it is factory set at about 280Hz! so you will never get the MB/Shuttle low end on turn on but you will easily and more with a bit tweaking, In fact I replaced 2 Tube amps with this and TBH there's not much difference to my ears.
22. Jeez That Bad Bull is cheap really weird the minimum loads though- 8 ohm minimum .
23. I did have a issue with mine that sounded like a buzzing noise coming from the 15' Cone (21015 version) took the grill off and removed a 10' speaker and the Tweeter was not connected at all I'd imagine/Hope it was when it left the factory and just came loose, the buzzing was the spade connectors touching the 15' speaker cone on the inside.
24. Are the 2x10 Cabs in stock 4 ohm or 8 ohm off the stock number they look 4 ohm. Cheers
25. The bass version of Stone washed/Distressed jeans perhaps? I played a couple recently and they played fine the action a little bit high but thats just preferance, The relicing looked a little strange compared to a '68 Jazz they also had in but TBH they played better than the '68 at a near quarter of the price.
