1. Stunning sounding amp but I think you need to add about 20 years to your make date
2. Thats the firework lit I'm standing back
3. Frusciante looked a little p*ssed off and avoided eye contact with the others, might be me but they normally look like they are having great fun
4. Was it me or did there seem to be a lot of tension on that stage between them .
5. I think the best thing about having castors is that you can remove the back ones and have it pointing upwards for better monitoring, the other thing is having castors takes away/reduces the boominess from a wooden hollow stage.
6. Stunning,love the wood binding.
7.
Mark Pinto - I think he used to play for Bakka Beyond (World music band based in Bath)??? Sorry, back to the discussion.... BB
And Bad Manners according to Google ,I bet that was a fun gig.
8. It had the name Mark Pinto on the back of it! I lusted over that one for a while
9. My 2 G&L SB2's one was in black with maple neck I traded them for a Ric 4003 what was I thinking, Hey Homer if you fancy a trade for your old Bongo I might be interested in your Sterling .
10. Yea I agree! Major major Bargain easily up there with Eden ect. I've never seen anything bad from HK -German quality.
11. Lovely Basses Keir, if there anything better than one Asat its two Asats your not selling the Goldy
12. I believe theres a shortage of Rack ears for Markbass so it might be out of there hands, if you live in the US there is no a one to be had anywhere.
13. I had one but sold it mostly because of a very small lag from when you play it to the sound coming out I felt disconnected from it somewhat and it got lost in the mix easily.
14. Funny you should say this I was after a new Valve head a few months ago and went through all my old Bassist magazines and saw the review for the Koch head and cab,It got a great review and when I tried to look for info on the net I found nothing on the bass side,I would love to try one -I once tried a Koch guitar head and was most impressed with the sound and quality.
15. The best guitarist I've ever played with did'nt play all the time he turned down for verses and added texture when required and played with such a great feel for the Whole band (I always said he would make a great bass player).
16. Thanks for the kind words,If anyone has a nice 'lectric 6 string geetar I may be interested in a trade and could throw in a Midi Keyboard for the right offer.
17. Maple neck Luurvly great looking bass that.Si

19. Do they take part in any weekend warrior stuff I bet thats a great money spinner with all them 40's50's year old retired muso's, I've always seen them at the indie Music shops never SC.
20.
Paul Simonon...end of debate.
+1000 Think London Calling Album cover never has a white person looked so cool IMO
21. Well I've disbanded my Roland PK-5 / Roland Xv5050 setup for no other reason than I got fed up of playing Bass Pedals the PK5 looks like it is sold so the XV5050 is up for grabs, awesome rack synth with loads of quality voices and effects (Rolands Cosm effects are built in) I've owned this for about 5 months and its never been out of the house really so is in excellent condition, its comes with the manual and P/S and the original box looking for 290 for it. 22. Oh you lucky Barstool I had a V6 and it was so smooth sounding a perfect amp much better than my 400+.
23. They have internet sales as well so they should match online prices and being the UK's largest surely there buying power should easily see off most if not all competitors, I think where SC has gone wrong is the service, even if the prices are more you go back for a great service thats why I go to Electro Music.
24. I went in Preston branch to try a P bass asked if they could match a price from the UK and got told only within 10 miles of the store, might have been true 10-15 years ago but have they ever heard of the internet
25. I remember when SC first opened the Salford store, the stock, the prices and the service was better than everywhere I saw brands I'd never seen before quite fantastic, The present store is quite dreadful with very poor service (Could write a book on this!) and an aweful Stock of basses. If they are in trouble I'm not surprised the people will vote with there feet, but the retail trade is a much different place to the early '90 with Thomann and Co cleaning up.
