Bass Porn

Great idea
4. Thats not a bad price really, if it didnt work out for you, you could more than likely get back what you paid. And I think if you treat it right, which no doubt you will, a tube amp would be no more unrealiable than an SS.
5.
Looks interesting Raggy but I have yet to read a single proper review of one! Besides I probably need the LM Old Rocker
Heh heh. Found a linky, but like you say, no proper reviews anywhere http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6iqwo828es Thinking about it though, if it is just a back up amp, it is what it is. Its just there "in case". Chances are the AD200 will not ever let you down.
6. That Little Rocker might be what you are after, have not heard one though.
7. If it has to be now and has to be one, then it would be my 70's Re-issue P Bass - AKA Clash.

My Gig Rig

Popped up to Bassdirect again today (could quite easily spend all day there). Here's my new amp, a Markbass SD1200. Sounds bloody massive at home with my NV, cant wait to gig it
11. They are a little bit to metal for me. The Ray sounds bloody good tho!
12. Have sent a PM
13. Rosewood all the way. Then go get a black P bass body for the Maple neck
14. All I can say is I am really really impressed with mine. Its my go to bass.
15. Seen this http://www.fareastguitars.co.uk/usedpb4.htm Its a beauty

17.
What you doing above the 5th fret Raggy? Dangerous territory
It gave me a nosebleed, not going there again!!
18. Old one from about '86 Pleased to see a banner with our logo on when we turned up to a gig, but got caught nicking it!! Smallest pub in the world Think I must of been playing something difficult here From last month supporting The Beat at the Oxford o2, our frontman was stuck in the States due to the volcano so we had to use a mate from another band, worked out alright
19.
You do live in Swindon
Yaarrp
20.
PS, I find the Gallery a bit intimidating. I feel (perhaps incorrectly) that I am dealt with in a pretty peremptory manner (eg, I asked them to source a particular amp part and they never got back to me; and every set-up I have had done has buzzed like mad, even though I explained each time that I am a pick player, as I think they set up for finger players). I get the feeling each time that I am something of an irritation. TBH, I wish there was an alternative in London like the Bass Centre of old
Thats exactly how I felt both times I went there Almost as if I was another 'Pikey from the sticks'.
21. Another trip up there for me soon with a fist full of dollars. My favourite bass place. Head and shoulders way above The Gallery for service and advice IMHO.
22. Met up with Andrew last night for a sale of an amp. Great to deal with, excellent communication all the way through, top fella altogether. Would happily recommend him to everyone to deal with. Cheers mate.
