1. None more black, it just works.
2.
Just 4 basses? Didn't think that was possible
Pure class
3.
I just replaced the Wizard Area 51 Stealth pickup that was in Sid with the DiMarzio. The DiMarzio is definitely not as high output as the Wizard Area 51 but then the Area 51 has an especially high output (Andy at Wizard described it to me as a "special" pickup). I would guess the DiMarzio's output would be similar to that of a Thumper. The fact that rock players used to replace stock Fender pickups back in the day with DiMarzios tends to support that its higher output than a stock Fender. Tone-wise the DiMarzio is quite woody sounding, not harsh at all, and in many respects it sounds like the Area 51 only not as loud and thumping. Worth a try mate IMHO and not an expensive experiment either.
Thanks mate, sounds perfik, am looking into one of these.
4. How do these Dimarzio pups compare to something like a Wizard Thumper?
5. Nyum Nyum, nice one Mr C.
6. Just sold my ShuttleMax 6 to Julian, a top geezer and a pleasure to deal with, good communication all the way through. Would highly recommend him to anyone, buy/sell/trade with total confidence. Hope the amp serves you well mate. Cheers.
7. Hmm, think I might have to try one out, Cheers.
8. I did try one (unplugged) in a shop about a year ago, it was one of the most nicest basses I have played. The neck felt great, and it was set up perfect. I am actually still kicking myself I didn't buy it there and then.
9. Ello Anyone have any views or experiences with the SVT 4 Pro. Thinking about a change, never used any sort of Ampeg before and am kinda interested in one of these. I am getting some great warm sounds with my LM3 through the Berg NV412 but would like lots more clean headroom. Cheers
10. Good to see your still around Anndra, all the best
11. Low Mids are your friend!
12. Dunlop 88's for me, I 50/50 between fingerstyle and picks and the 88's have just enough give in them for the fast punky stuff.
13. Just go for it Chris, as it is a 'birth bass' its more than likely you'll never sell it, its your main gigging bass and you have already mentioned you are not too bothered about loosing a couple of hundred quid over it. It sounds like your happy with the pre in your fretless so adding it to the 64 will no doubt make this your perfect bass. Well thats what i'd do anyway, but then my trouble is I cant/dont want to sell any bass I've got!!!!
14. Good news, we supported The Beat there last year. Crackin venue
15. Yep thats a damn good looking bass, its one on here that has stuck in my mind. Your singer is pukka as well

18. I think they do the Highway 1 P in Burst and RW.
19. Looks good with that Will power in. But I think I might go for a 5'r my next bass. Have a BUMP on me.
20.
Shouldn't this have a sleeve? Like this:- http://www.after-beat.co.jp/images/sale/us...uatra_valve.jpg
Think that was an option at one time.
