Raggy, I made the case for the amp and rolled on Duratex. Did same for cabs
It's a cracking job.

Good to see you back Sir, what a great looking rig. Can you tell me about that case for the GK?
-
Always great fun, (particularly the night we played for 300 Para's who were going on deployment the day after), but all our gigs came through agents.
Have you got a link, for instance to FB etc.? It would make it easier for me to share this thread on our Twitter account.
https://www.facebook.com/whoareyouTheWhoTributeband/?fref=ts Thanks Silvia
Yikes - that's bad news! I'll keep an eye out. Where in Reading was the stuff stolen from? A gig?!
Cheers Lw. It was after a gig in a venue called The Butler, but outside the home of one of the band.

Hope its Ok to put this on here, its from a friend. "Some of you may have heard that Who Are You? had some £7 K worth of equipment stolen last night. Of particular loss is a Fender Jazz USA Deluxe Bass in Wine Red, an Aria SB 1200 bass with Bartollini pick ups, a rare ATS bass cab, Carvin BX500, Allen & Heath Zed 22FX desk and numerous mics, cables etc. If anyone is offered any of the above please let us know! Thanks" This happened in Reading. Sept 9th
Pah! I used to respect Foxton but he'll never get his trademark cutting tone on a woolly Ashdown, and what is he thinking mixing speaker sizes? Perhaps he should sign up here and be educated a bit. Come on Foxton, must try harder!

What rig is he using?
One of the big Ashdown tube heads (BTA) and Ashdown 4x10 and 2x15 cabs i believe.
The third was a Washburn semi acoustic which I only caught the headstock.Strings and picks were both from Rotosound,it looked like the picks were .96mm. I will have to find this picture on my phone, there was a pedal board but not sure if it was his or the guitarists. Hope the show goes well.
That third semi acoustic bass is a Waterstone Brighton '64 bass, not sure that are made any more, but they sure do look good.
BassChat never has been, and never will be, a welcome haven for fraudsters and scumbags and we will kill such accounts without hesitation.
Love this place, high 5 to the Mods.

Ive been through a fair few different pickups in my P basses that i use in my Ska band and all have been well up to the job, just got to remember to roll that tone control back a bit. P Retro's are awesome pieces of kit but I have found I'm favouring my passive sounds now.
-
Very nice, cracking photos as well.

Lovely, worth sitting in the hall for most of the day

I've recently picked up a Blacksmith, I know these are supposed to be slightly different (sounding) from the RH series of amps, so I am not much help to you there, but the features on the TC amps are fantastic, especially the 3 presets.
OK so I got a reply from Fender - they confirmed that it is indeed a factory mess up, the bass was built while the special run of crimson red ones were being made and someone has put a neck for a crimson red bass onto a black body. That makes it 'one of a kind' in my book. I'm having it.
Great score
-
Im guessing that must be one of the last 'older models' just before the change.
Cheers, Raggy! I actually get quite a few sarky comments from people via YouTube about the playing being boring, etc. But like you, I like to hear stuff in situ, so I'm sticking to my guns :-)
Good on ya
-
I made a couple of clips with the Red Fighter this morning. I know, it's the same track over and over again, but it's the only thing I know how to play.... :-)
Sounds gert lush with the flats on, and IMHO the best way to show an amp or instrument with different strings or settings, no pointless noodling, thanks for that, i do enjoy your demo's. Just wish it was 4ohm in bridge mode for my tastes.

I think mine would be: Jean-Jacques Burnel Horace Panter Bruce Foxton Donald 'Duck' Dunn Steve Harris
Has TC got some new cabs then? - I was looking at that tatty old Ampeg and thought he would be able to afford a nice new class D amp by now I thought we would be discussing the anti heft brigade......

Oi, what you doing around these parts, get off to the shop.
Could I be a pain and ask you to get some pringles as well please Oh, and a Cornetto.
-
Fab! As it happens, the postman has just been here too. And left me one of these... What a beast... I'll use it on Saturday night.
Another fully detailed report on this please Wot.

Great stuff, really happy with my 2 -
My only 'negative' comment is that as the shop has got so popular, Mark has employed staff to allow him to cope with the demand (and deal with the mundane stuff like packaging sold items or restringing instruments). I've known Mark for nearly 10 years, and we have a friendly relationship - when I walk in there with the new guys (some recognize me but not by name) I don't feel I have the same rapport with them and to them, I am just 'another customer'.
Thats how I felt last time I went there, Mark was as awesome and friendly as ever. The other chap, quite offish.
