Yes and they do seem to be a very music friendly place from what I have seen on Facebook.
-
Looks like they have dropped the ABM1000 as well. I had GAS for one of those.

Will be interested in your thoughts after the gig FinnDave, we are thinking of trying to get some gigs in there.
Sorry i can't be of any help in the meantime. -

Oh my god, why haven't you bought the Roger Waters P in the marketplace here?

Hi Kevin
I work for GAK and you did indeed email us about the SG Futura Min-Etune, if you would of emailed about the spec on one of the Ashdown cabs we would of answered your question, but you didn't, you asked about the SG Futura Min-Etune…..!!!

Actually, I do not work for GAK, I'm just bored today and thought I would help you out with your breakdown -

I sent an email to GAK asking them to confirm the spec on one of the cabs as I've had problems before & this is the reply I got ;Hi Kevin, many thanks for your email.
Actually, there was no 2013 version of the SG Futura Min-Etune.Perhaps you are referring to the 2013 SG Future Tribute, in which case there are a few differences. The Future Tribute is a more 'stripped down' guitar ,and has '57 pickups ,asymmetric neck profile and ships with a gig bag, whereas the 2014 Futura has a P90 and Burstbucker 3 pickups, 60's neck profile, 15db boost switch,120th anniversary inlay at the 12th fret and comes with a hardshell case.Gibson guitars carry a years warranty.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of any further assistance.
Kind regards

I'm now convinced that they're all trying to make me have a break down

I think it looks great. Far beyond what I would ever need, but I can appreciate the versatility and the desire to do something new and groundbreaking. Ashdown rarely get any credit for heir pioneering spirit, and I think they should.

+1
It looks a cracking piece of kit and I got quite excited when I first heard about it. I understand the price point, but, If I had the cash to spare on it, would I buy it and would i get the use out of it at home? -
I know its only a white P bass with a maple neck, but I'm quite taken with the Dee Dee
-
The LH1000 is quite a weighty beast though!!!
-
An Epiphone Jack Casady in white, it seems...

-
We usually end with Sham 69's Kids are united. Or as mention previously any big Two Tone/Ska classic.
-
Splendid stuff. My Dubster and OBT certainly makes my pants flap!!!

Page. Can't remember why right now, but trust me on this

Cheers fella. -
Out of interest, sorry if I derail but what's the thoughts on a group or a page?
-
Glad too see you are having second thoughts. I'm not a fan of the QP's either so I replaced mine with an SPB2 hot. It made just the right difference for me.
-
Just received an Allparts neck from Den.
The neck arrived very well packaged and looks mint for something with a lot of gigs under its belt.
Great communication all the way through the process, going above and beyond when the delivery company decided they were going to deliver it on a different (later) date from the one they told him.
One of the good guys.
Thank you Sir. -
I love mine. Really well put together and a nice chunky neck.
-
Happy Christmas to you and welcome to the Barefaced massive.

Rule 1.
What you dont play is twice as important as what you do play .

This.
Leave plenty of space. -

Mike Dirnt - additional bonus of the tele headstock, or Steve Harris. Both fairly chunky deep necks. The 50s necks are wide, but not too deep. must admit though, the 50s ones have a certain sound that I`ve not encountered from any other modern Precision. More bite/aggressiveness.

Plus the Roger Waters bass. Very well made. -

I did have the Quatravalve and now have a Hexavalve (which TBH I never use anymore/enough).
Big clean power from both, the emphasis being on clean, they do not really break up but you do get a fantastic growl out of them. I would say for home use, the Twin would be the better option as the Hexa is a beast.
But then for me, the volume goes both ways and too much is never enough -

Sir Horace Gentlemen from The Specials uses a pukka Gibson T Bird these days so I guess it would sound great in a ska band!

He certainly does and it works a treat
Front port vs rear ported 4x10 markbass cab

I prefer the ports on the front. Then I don't have to worry about leaving a space at the back of the cab for the port to work properly.

My preference is the same, some venues we play can be very tight for space and my cab has to sit right up against the wall.
