14.
Dolly miming. Boooo.
Boooo indeed!
15. Has anyone tried the TC Helicon Voicesolo 150 FX150? They state that you can play bass through it. They have a short video clip of such but it would be nice to hear if anyone uses one? Like previous responses, we are looking to scale down our PA and sell the floor wedges and these appear to be the next jump up from the Behringer BD205 and Mackie SRM150 equivalents. Another thing, with these mounted on mic stands with the mic mounted as per usual, do you not get any bleed through the mic from the speaker output? Any feedback? They seem very close...
16.
Given the title of this thread, I was rather hoping to find that Hank Marvin had joined Basschat ...
Me too...... Welcome Bazza to what is most definitely the best forum on the web....
17. Sounds like its going to be a great one!!! We'll try and get a power source from outside the room in case it does go... As a rough guide I'll monitor it via an app I've found but 98dBs does sound very low... Hopefully as mentioned above it has a traffic light system so at least I can see something during the gig. Can't wait......
18. Apologies if this has already been covered but we've got a wedding gig coming up and the venue has sent us a very comprehenisve list of do and don'ts including playing within the limits of their fitted sound limiter. Part of the requirement is that live music is below 98 decibels in accordance with their license. A quick web search states that 98dB's is equivalent to a farm tractor!...??? How do you monitor what level you are playing at? Does anyone use some form of meter that tells them if they are close? I can't think of anything more embarassing than going into a chorus to find the thing trips all the band's electrics out!!! Any advice or recomendations (other than playing quietly) would be most welcome....
19. Unless anyone can tell me otherwise, when posting you can't buy insurance to cover the whole amount of the cost of musical instruments, therefore I'm not willing to post, sorry. Even enhanced insurance is capped for instruments!!! I'm willing to meet within a reasonable distance of Dunstable though...
20. MB1 - we got there in the end... !
21. Ha, ha..... (Above)....
