1. That's a pretty cute father/daughter band they got going on
2. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320855155068?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619 And a hefty dose of ebay attitude.

Awesome bassist, interviewed him many moons ago and he was a top bloke to have a chat with as well. Never know he used a blazer, now I love them even more.
4.
I've had 4 4003's before, and my latest (5th!!), a 2011, is by far the best yet and free of the trouble spots that I've suffered before. Congrats on an awesome bass...my first 4003 was a FG...excellent choice!
Yeah I've read that the new ones are really top notch - my funds didn't stretch quite that far. This is a 2005 make, so no push pull vintage tone thingy. Needs new strings and a setup (I like high action), but after that we are powering.
5. Just what was around at the time I was looking that's all, there were a few jetglos for cheaper, but I wanted a fireglo, and I'm impatient.
6. Yeah I'm pretty happy, I shelled out a bit extra for a fireglo, and really pleased I did. You can get anything in black, right? but there's only one fireglo.
7. Well you all know what they look like... slight upgrade from the Thunder 1A!
8. Holy moly, the before shot is like something out of Eraserhead http://www.tymguitars.com.au/?p=7394 This guy is from my hometown, and is a total don.
9. what the hell i thought this was on page 2? BUMP LOL
10. I payed 80 for an average, but playable and decent sounding 1A... a mate sprung 150 for a mint 1 and it is amazing, blows mine out of the water, gorgeous neck and plays like butter. So it depends on what one you get is what I'm saying. Mine is soon to be retired for an incoming 4003. Been fun but will be glad to kick that 1A to the curb. Those headstocks, mamma mia.
11. Just realised it's not europe - geography fail.
12. Sorry I know this is a little off topic. I'm looking at getting a bass w hard case shipped from europe (west) - Not sure what to expect in terms of shipping costs and want to make sure I'm being reasonably charged. Can anyone help out? Sorry I know this is a tad off topic.
13. Yep that's the plan - the guitarists in my band have small fender combos, so I don't need immense power. I want something with great tone that I enjoy and look forward to playing.
14. I should probably mention that I only want a single cab for now, not two.
15. Hm many options to consider, thanks for the input so far!
16. As the title suggests, I'm looking at small cab options due to lack of space in my practise room and also portability. Here are my top 3: Aguilar db112 vs Purple Chili vs Mesa Walkabout What do you think? Feel free to add others. Looking at around £250-275 2nd hand.
17. Mike Watt put another pickup between the neck and bridge pups on his. I think this one got stolen a few years ago when he was on tour playing with the stooges. Terrible.
18. Ok that all makes sense, interesting.
19. I'm guessing these 60s Gibson basses are not in high demand because there's not many people really into short scales these days. But is there any reason why these are at the cheaper end of the vintage market? One went on ebay for £620 last week. How is the build quality on them?
20. Bad timing, but I'm looking to get bassman 100 or 50 around february or march.
