1. I like to imagine 3 people carrying this amp, one on each end, and one in the middle, straddling the amp and carrying it between their legs. Apologies, OFF TOPIC.
2. I used my old GT200 + BFC rig with guitar and some fuzz pedals and it sounded incredible to my ears.
3. "Prototype 1"... of 1.
4. weird + wonderful http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUPER-RARE-vintage-1970s-Ibanez-Thunderbird-non-reverse-lawsuit-bass-MIJ-project-/191583224388?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c9b400244
5. Anything by Tym Guitars:
6. If these are built to last I reckon they might be a future classic.
7. yeah could be a micro VR - interesting choice to run before a 70s SVT...
8. Saw this at a show last night, sorry for bad pic. Small little ampeg unit on top of a SVT, being used for guitar. Is it a preamp?
9. It sounds exactly like the first 7 seconds of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7J37mp0JJCE Neck is a chunky P shape. Plays like a dream. The headstock has had the typical repair, but I think most of them have this or the piece missing altogether. I don't know what the strings are - they're not nylons... They sound incredible... they are black and they each have a different colour cotton coating thing at the end where they're wound... Anyone know what they are? Upper horn isn't even noticeable when I play it (so far).
10. Wanted one of these for so long, but prices seemed a bit high and they were always in the US... found a nice chap in South Africa who did me a deal.
11. I'll take the pepsi challenge
12. I love my lightweight head (Peavey MkIV - 19kgs)
13.
What's under the ashtray? Mutes?
no mutes, just a bridge
14. It's the inside of the gatefold of Fun House LP.
15. The Stooges
16. Nice - I have a '65 mosrite as well! Mine's identical but in sunburst. The blue is my absolute favourite colour though. Here's why: If I had seen it before you I have no doubt it would be in my hands now.
17. Very nice. Where are you based?
18. Same with mine - older compact 1x15. Series 2 I think.
19. And yes I did feel that the cone was being pushed too much - it was flappy and woofy at higher volumes.
20. I used a BF compact (1x15) with a matamp GT200 for quite a while - but I wasn't impressed, it just didn't do the amp justice. Moved on to a matamp 2x12 and haven't looked back. I've heard good things about the 2x15s though. But there's definitely something about the one-handed lift at the end of a big night - it's a lifesaver.
21. very nice... I'd love to try bass through a GT120 or OR120, never have before.
22. hmmm nice, but i'm gagging for a short scale single pup model... someone make me one? something about the design screams short scale to me...
23. Anyone got one? Have the ever been reissued? are they short scale? Keen for some pics if anyone out there is an owner... really curios about these things.
