Yeah I've heard amazing things about the CV series, but they are beyond the small budget I'm working with.

It's been said a hundred times, but loading out of a show last night ... the barefaced compact is an absolute godsend. Sounds fantastic, and it's so light you could swing it over your head with one hand.

Used one with a 410 at a show once. It was great! sounded like an ampeg.

I don't think my GT200 is THAT loud... I routinely have it on 6/7. Plenty of room to go upwards though, and it's the kind of amp that sounds amazing on 10.

No idea how they can be so comfortable putting their company's name on something so sh*t ... seriously, have some respect. I pity the poor f***ers getting paid $1 a day to make this garbage.

sounds like it's supposed to go into a power amp - but what about a stocko instrument amp?

The output for the DI is an attenuated signal from the speaker output - It is an unbalanced signal. But I don't know what that means in practice.

I'm pretty sure I've had a sound guy use it before for FOH.

I have an attenuated DI on the back of my Matamp - it has a volume(?) knob next to it. I was told under strict instructions to not use this with phantom power, which is fine. Would anything adverse happen if I ran a line out of this into another bass amp?

[/quote] 70's Orange: OR120, GRO100, maybe even a OR80 They were designed as guitar amps but are [b]highly [/b]rated as bass amps. I was after one for a while but a Matamp GT200 came up first. Still on my wishlist. Should be able to get an OR120 or OR80 for under 1k, but will be more for a GRO100.
