1. John Entwistle and Keith Moon.
2. In: Yamaha Attitude LTD 2 Fender Precision antigua Ashdown LB-30 Drophead Out: I am not familiar with that concept.
3. The pot that is closest to the outputs is a push/pull pot that combines the output from both pickups. You have volume/tone/volume then. The tone control only works for the woofer (neck pickup). The first pot (closest to he neck) is a volume control for the neck pickup. The middle pot is a tone control for the neck pickup, the push/pull function on that one is a high cut. The pot closest to the outputs is the volume control for the P pickup. The bass is a bit neck heavy but nothing that a good strap won't cure.
4. Straight from the source: http://www.fender.com/en-NL/support/articles/u-s-instruments-product-dating It is all mass production so they probably grab whatever is at hand at that moment, they may have gotten those neck plates before 2011 and used them on some basses that were built in 2010.
5. Nobody knows, she has a very impressive resume even without those claims. Here is a bit about that: http://chnm.gmu.edu/courses/magic/kaye/
6. That will be this one then: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fopc4exF4D0
7. Picked this up from Yolanda Charles' Facebook page. Starting bid is 499.99, I would bid on them myself if I had some spare cash. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120971567009?ssPageName=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
8.
I read that on talk bass the other day
That was a six year old thread, started by someone who was told that by a music store that tried to sell him a bass quickly before "the production would move to Mexico". A lot of people jumped in after the bump to give their expert opinion, as usual on TB.

10. My mum hated this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ji1RSSZg1es
11. Forming an orderly queue, in for the whip round. Losing a pet is bad enough, I hope we can prevent that you'll have to sell your bass.
12. She claims to have played on many of the Motown hits that were credited to James Jamerson despite evidence and witnesses saying that Jamerson played those bass parts. She is a very good player, but I can't stand her because she wants to portray herself as more important than she already is.
13. My Precision arrived from Thomann yesterday, I love the colour. Plays and sounds good too, it's a keeper.
14. Thomann has them in stock now, mine should be here on Friday.
15. Wasn't JJ Burnel's green bass antigua too? I really like that finish and think I'll buy one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBKb0iZSTfo
16. Nog een Nederlander hier en niet zo ver weg van Mokum waar jij vandaan lijkt te komen. Welkom. Subtitle for the Brits: Another Dutchman here and not so far away from Mokum where you appear to be from. Welcome.
17. Hmm, old thread, but I would love to get one of these if one ever comes up for sale. I love the colour.
18. A friend of mine died of cancer two years ago. He had picked the music for his wake himself, some songs from a Dutch surf punk band. Definitely not the kind of music that you would expect at a wake, but when the first song blasted through the speakers everybody who was there smiled because they knew: that was what Peter loved. Play what and how the deceased and her family want you to play, don't make any concessions.
19.
For the record, the original bass owner has been discovered to NOT be deceased. He is alive and sharing stories of his days playing bass with Buddy before his death, and the Crickets several times afterwards.
Great, now you can find out when the bass got its pink finish. I would laugh my head off if it has always been pink and the solder joints had nothing to do with a refinish but were a repair job.
20. I want to get the pick sound but don't have a lot of money to spend. Do any of the pickenfakers come close to the original?
21. Firefox downloads it ok as ipb file, you can change the extension to mp3 then to listen to it. Beautiful bass, I like the sound too. /edit BigredX was quicker
22. This is the thread: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f8/scrap-lumber-bass-vs-alder-bass-can-you-tell-difference-743932/
23. First bass: Yamaha RBX 200 'Go to' bass: Squier Precision 'Your' bass: Yamaha Attitude LTD II. Only got that one earlier this week but it makes all the right sounds. It won't be long before it will be my 'go to' bass.
24. The Who - Live At Leeds. I love Entwistle's tone on that album.
25. The Squier VM Tele is a great bass, this Fender version would make it more versatile with the added bridge pickup. It also has four bridge saddles instead of the two of the Squier, this one might get a chance to take the place of my Squier.
