i up for sale/trade is my 2007 Fender Custom shop 64 Jazz it is a very light relic as can be seen from the photos, i have only used this at home. included is the custom shop case which still has the cellopane over the badge, all the case candy, ashtray, pick up cover, strap and the certificate. Its in beautiful sunburst finish. I was going to do a deal with a shop but had second thoughts, i would lose too much! so i'll try here again at a reduced price. Trades? try me, the worst that can happen is i can politely say no thanks. I have additional money available so ideally i would like to trade up. Finding *THE* bass - following from the 'end of GAS' topic...
paul j h replied to Gust0o's topic in General Discussion
Hi all, i am in the process of looking to sell the two Fenders in my signature as i am just a bedroom player who really has no need for three quality basses. I like my G&L that will be the last to go, but the ONE could be another G&L. I just want one bass but will it be the one, I have not had either Fender long thinking these would be the ones i would keep for ever, but here i am 7 months later thinking of changing again. I am sure i am not the only one in this position. Cheers Paul. -

Hi i am a huge UFO/Pete Way fan he was one of my bass heroes, i recently bought the UFO at Rockpalast DVD which was interesting as i was at that gig in Dortmund many moons ago. It was still as good as i remembered, but i was at least sober this time!

Hi all you knowledgible folk, I have the above bass rig. I bought this when i got back into bass playing, thinking it would be ideal for home use, not overly big and great sounding, after reading all the positive reviews, My problem is its not loud enough for me now, so do i need a bigger different amp/cab or combo or a different amp head. Its all mint condition, less than a year old, i still have the original boxes etc. Suggestions would be appreciated, i have a budget of £500 on top of the value? of this rig. Looking to sell or trade now. Cheers Paul.

Outrageous Prices (Bass & Guitar) Magazines
paul j h replied to Stompbox's topic in General Discussion
I have loads of "Guitarist" and "Acoustic" magazines if anyone wants to swap for bass mags. Cheers Paul. -
Hi all, i have a 62 reissue (and a custom shop light relic) the only thing i don't like is the black bottom part of the concentric controls, if anyone knows where i can get chrome ones let me know. The bass is great though, but i get earth hum on the bridge control. Cheers Paul.

Yay! Poll time. How many basses do you own?
paul j h replied to Clarky's topic in General Discussion
3, see my signature all get used in rotation, but the G&L is probaly my favourite. Cheers Paul. -
Last time i was in Cardiff Guitars they had two vintage? 70's precisions. The chap behind the counter was a guy called Simon, who used to run a music shop in Gloucester many years ago. But the rest of the shops forget it.

Recommend me a good bass book for my holiday
paul j h replied to paul j h's topic in General Discussion
Hi an update, i have ordered the Glen Hughes book but a kind Bass chatter has offered me the Guy Pratt book so hopefully i'll be able to take both (my wife is incapable of speech with a kindle and an ipod!)and there is only so much swimming and all inclusive drinking i can do. We are going to Gran Canaria and i'm looking forward to the break after a very busy year. Thanks again for the response/suggestions i now have a list of other books to get in the new year, once again many thanks Paul. -
Another +1 for Guy Pratt, also the Glen Hughes autobiograhy is available from Amazon, had a quick flick through it, but not allowed to have it until Christmas day.
Good call on the Glen Hughes one, i've order that from Amazon, it should be here on time. Thanks for all the responses, i knew you would'nt let me down, this Forum is the best.Cheers Paul. -

Thanks guys for the suggestions so far, The Guy Pratt book is 1-2 months delivery time, which is a shame as i fancied that one, i have had the Mo Foster one in hard back for years. Please keep the suggestions coming, i am determined to find something interesting. Cheers Paul. -
Hi All, I go away for some winter sun over the Xmas/New year period, can anyone please recommend a good book to take. Ideally a kinda life on the road type thing, ancadotes from a working muso etc. obviously bass related, i like classic rock and not so obscure that Amazon et al won't stock it. Many thanks in advance, cheers Paul.
