Steve Lawson - lessons in and around BIRMINGHAM (changed)
NickThomas replied to Steve Lawson's topic in Tutors Available
Bump, just coz this man saved my bass playing life. Fo shizzle :-) -
There's one every wednesday at Wadhurst. Not solely blues, but a fair bit of. Forgotten the name of the pub but it's right in the high street. Also depending on where you are in Kent, you could take yourself to one of Robin Bibi's blues jams in Kingston and Carshalton.
We want to take on that role ( dividing it between us ) and then pay the other band members for playing.
I was in the position of one your prospective band members until recently , and it gave me a very low sense of commitment towards the band. So much so that I just stopped accepting the crap gigs lol -
Looks like it would put a left handed crick in my back.
Hi John My Music stuff via ebay do the sunbeams in sets of two that work out £40 delivered, i only used the company once to get few sets of sunbeams it took a week to get to and they cocked up my order, when i emailed them they were not only unapologetic about my inconvinience they were rude. so im a bit reluctant to use them again, they did sort it out after another week and A half, i just use strings direct and have gone back to d,addario xl,s as they are half the cost, nowhere near the sunbeams though love em.-lee It looks like Thomann are about the cheapest for the Sunbeams @ £22... anyone found cheaper?
sh*t . I remember recommending MyMusicStuff to you Lee! I'm ever so sorry! I've never had a problem with them in the 4 years I've been using them. Sincerest apologies. Nick. (sorry for the small thread hijack) -

www.musicdojo.com does some great online courses. I took one a couple of years ago in reading music, and the format and "doability" of it was very straight forward , and there's someone on hand to answer any questions you have at any point in the course. They've got some top top tutors too. Good luck, Nick.

Maybe they're hitting hard times. They're doing a promotion for 50% off subscriptions. :-(
Personally I'm amazed at the amount of slap hate shown here.
Likewise .. Everyone used to hate shirt lifters , but now people leave them alone and pick on slap bassists instead. lol
