  1. Here are both my gig rigs. The Ampeg B200r I use for the blues/soul gigs and my Ashdown ABM500 and Barefaced Supertwin for the Classic/heavy rock gigs. Both are plenty loud enough. Seldom get the master volume past 9pm (25-30%). I think the ABM500 cost about £170 s/h and the Ampeg was around £200 s/h. The Barefaced ST was a lot more but you should be able to get a half decent Ashdown cab for between £100-200. Personally I’d look for a s/h Barefaced Compact 1x15. Much louder than the super compact and about half the price of them s/h too
  2. This doesn’t need a phantom power box/supply. A regular 9v psu works fine. The OP was just asking about taking phantom power from the mixing desk. The answer as it always is, is: depends. Depends on the mixing desk. Does it have PP or is it just a basic PA system with line and mic inputs only. Personally not worth the risk on relying on other people. Mine has a battery in and a PSU. Just to be doubly sure.
  3. The Sansamp runs on either 9v battery, regular PSU or phantom power. Pretty versatile bit of kit. I have the 3 button programmable version 👍
  4. Gosh, they do seem to be going up in value these well loved pedals. Glad I bought mine a year or two ago.
  5. Final reduction. Only £40 inc postage.
  6. From what I remember from my music business degree. It’s a standard 3% fee of box office takings. Even bands like U2 and Coldplay get charged (indirectly) but get it back from PRS (minus costs/admin fees etc). *Not exactly correct but you get the gist.
  7. What a retro beast. Lovely!
  8. If it is, buy it, you won’t regret it! Here’s my B200r at a local NYE gig. Love it.
  9. I had one of these back in the late 80’s when I was young and stupid. Weighed a ton but sounded fantastic! My back aches just looking at it 😂
  10. Get a P Bass. Problem solved!
  11. This bridge is superb and are £100 new.
  12. Weekend bump for a fantastic quality bridge.
  13. I thought Future Islands were great. He reminded me of a young(ish) Marlon Brando, whose party pills had just kicked in whilst at a Northern Soul night.
  14. One now sold (5 hole on hold). Just the lovely 4 hole version left. Comes with box and screws and key, etc.
  15. I have the 3 button version of this. Great pedals and so is to re-program. Built like a tank too
  16. Here is a set of s/h of La Bella deep talkin’ flatwound bass strings. These are the 1954 original vintage 52/73/95/110 James Jamerson bass strings. I bought them to go on a new build bass but in the end put on round wounds as my other P bass TI flats on it. They are in good condition. I never actually used them but the previous owner did. Looking for £22 + £2 postage

  18. Here I have 2 Hipshot A style chrome bridges for sale. They were to go on a new bass build for my birthday. I bought the first one from eBay on a punt as I couldn’t see how many holes were on it on the photo and the seller didn’t respond so I took a gamble. Unfortunately it had 4 holes but wanted a 5 hole version to line up with the bass body. I then bought the other one here on BC a week later. Myself and my bass tech then decided that as it was going to be quite a vintage looking bass, one of the original fender bridges would probably look better. So that was what we did! D’oh! Each bridge is £50 including postage.
  19. How is this amazing bass still here? If I had the spare funds I’d be all over it right now. Andy is a top bloke too!
