1. I commented on the Warwick forum as well - this was an epic bass!
  2. +1. Awesome looking bass! Is it possible to hear how it sounds?
  3. *jaw drop* Amazing!
  4. They are the stock Fender strings - I don't know the exact guage. They are roundwound strings.
  5. I have uploaded another album with photos of all the paperwork https://picasaweb.google.com/100212465725187526301/FenderJacoPamphlets?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCL6Mm9Dq-Mbd3wE&feat=directlink
  6. Hi KOgon, I just checked the plate and it does have holes drilled for the thumb rest. It is below the G. I have added 2 photos of it to the Picasa album at: https://picasaweb.google.com/100212465725187526301/FenderJaco?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCJi206GZjNDUBg&feat=directlink Cheers, Vic.
  7. Thanks Paul. It is indeed a fantastic fretless bass. I did have second thoughts before putting it up for sale but I am simply not using it enough to justify holding on it.
  8. *This bass is now sold outside of BassChat* I bought it from the US around 2005 but it is as good as new. I paid extra duty to bring it into Ireland, where I was living then. It has never been gigged and has always remained in a hard shell case. I have only noodled with it occasionally and there is no wear on the fretboard that I can notice. The only problem I noticed recently is that the strap locks had rusted. I have replaced them with a pair of brand new Schaller strap-locks (black) that are included in the sale. Also, the original tweed hard shell case is no longer with me as I wasn't a fan of it and instead obtained a SKB Fender case that fits the bass perfectly and is included in the sale. A whole bunch of original accessories are included - they are completely unused. The manufacturer's details are available at: http://www.fender.co...rtno=0196208800 <snip> Spec summary:

Body: alder
Neck: maple
Fingerboard: pau ferro
Scale: length 34" (864 mm)
No. of frets: 20
Vintage-size fretline markers
Width @ nut: 1.500" (38 mm)
Machine heads: vintage style
Pickups: 2 vintage Jazz pickups
Controls: '62 style
3-knob, volume (neck), volume (bridge), master tone
Pickguard: brown shell (shipped in case)
Bridge: U.S. vintage Jazz
Unique features: special shape neck, offset contour body, knurled knobs
