1. Chris I suspect from ur Sadowsky GAS ur going more trad like me............I just dont see the buzz with Warwicks, I know lots do and thats cool, theyre just too "organic" for me! Nice basses urs for sure and blessings with the sale, do they hold their prices well?
2. who did the leds they look cool and how much?
3. woops struck a raw nerve there! Sorry correction I should have said the only one in England! apologies to our Irish cousins.
4. fallen in love with my 75 pb and just not playing this at the mo..... u know the stuff about this, shes a rare beast and the only 1 in the UK afaik. Offers.......
5. bump.........someone was after one of these on here.. cant recall who!
6. well its played in there is some light wear on the underside of the treble side of the neck as usual from the 3rd to 5th fret but not much otherwise the neck is a dream and just weighed her at 8.8 LBS....
7. actually its nice and light! and the grain actually follows the sweep of the top of the scratchplate perfectly, looks great close up.
8. At last Ive found one.....!! A 1975 SB Pbass in fab condition bar the usual light wear marks. Enjoy. Andy
9. F/S a Ken Smith active pbass eq c/w EMG pups and gold anodised scratchplate. Will split these. The EQ works well and is noise free and exceptionally tonally powerfull. The volume knob oddly turns off at the mid point!. This may have been wired to the pots incorrectly (full wiring diagram included) but im no electrical bod so havent checked, suffice to say it works anyhow. KS as you know make top end Basses and this I guess is from one of their pbass designs. Pups work fine and the scratchplate is what it is a single ply retro anodised plate. Sensible Offers invited for some or all. Installed pic included for info only. Thanks Andy
10. Agreed this is superb and lovely without reproach, but as to a value should the owner want to move it on, its subjective at best. unlike a standard PB or jazz which has a value, and can be sold easily, these personal basses are a bit vague in value
11. hey concentrate on the subject lads! nice pics of basses are much fitter than talking about BB(broad band)! does that stand for blondes with big boobs btw? if so I stand corrected and want to join in!
12. oops sorry for big pics boys, plus nets pretty good speed wise I find.
13. Been meaning to do this for a while, funny how ur tastes change over the years. Im not including the early year Encores and Arias but thought id start with the first serious money bass I ever bought. A Status Kingbass 5 A Brand new Stingray I got for £599 from memory A Stingray5, bought to sell really used it twice, nice bass, but was turning back to four stringers Bugger should never have sold this, I was well short of cash and things conspired, used it again a couple of times, she was well beat, but thats how I like em. A Lakland 5502 deluxe, I love Lakkys, this was my first, bought from the Bass merchant for £685 if I remember. Had her two years, I love this pic. A Jo4 and my current keeper a DPLE1. The Jo was sold. Fender Pbass mid late 80s I think, too clinical and was wanting something older! And last butnot least and my current keeper a DPLE1 Lakland which just about covers all courts IMHO. Theres loads of insignificant basses ive missed out and apologies to all you Squier and Dean owners, bit these are the ones I remember. As to the ones I should have never sold the beat up Ray pains me (apologies to a member of this site) as to the ones Im looking forward to. Theres an original 75 PB winging its way to me soon and pics will be posted soon.
14. Smashing, great work. I wouldnt have given it a second look in that awful red, but now shes stunning, more pics when completed please.
15. hey whats wrong with the EBS its a fine bit of kit (why does my wife hate me calling stuff KIT, anyone know or have any idea of female logic, I digress!)
16. Good info baldy, I had that on my watch list! still if it goes for a snip I guess you could throw some dosh at it and bring it up to scratch. These oldies are worth the time and money sometimes. Thanks for the heads up!
17. oooo eeer darent tell ya what i snipped my 75 up for last week. Pics to follow when shes ready.
18. +10 for Mike, nice guy nice basses.
19. I play Lakland Osborne and a vintage PB, what im saying is that ive picked theup and played them in shops etc and they feel a bit "organic" thats probably not the right word but as if theyre trying a bit too hard to be cool and different, ramble over.
Obviously they are not as endemic as Precisions, Jazzs ,Rickenbackers etc but.... If you drive a BMW you notice other BMWs. If you drive a Mercedes, you notice other Mercedes. I see loads of bass players using Warwicks, but I notice them because that's what I play. You notice people playing what you play. What do you play?
20. Who?
21. where?
I think they look great, Im an old git and I see them being played all the time.
22. Why do I think Warwicks look hideous? is it cause im an old git? I never see them on the box played live.
23. Shoewatch, i like it beedy!.........i think i got my pb in the end, made him a offer and he took it! does that qualify for ebay bargains or do u need details!
