    For sale is my Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray Neck. I bought this from TommK on here back in January as I was desperate for a fretless neck for a recording project whilst Jon Shuker made me a fretless neck for my ESP. I now have my ESP neck from Mr Shuker so this fretless Stringray neck is now available. It is a six bolt neck with a pau ferro unlined board. It has very minor string wear from previous owners using roundwounds but it is hardly noticable and doesn't effect playability. It has also been drilled for a 4 bolt sabre so it does have 8 bolt holes but they are all usable and it works just fine on my 6 bolt stingray. It does not come with any tuners or string tree which is also how I got it from TommyK. I bought this for £250 including delivery from TommyK and so that is what I would like back for it. Nothing more and nothing less. I am in Surrey so collection is available if so required.

    No problems with feedback on my Washburn AB10 but I have not gigged it yet. I will be next Sunday so I can report back then. However, I have rehearsed with it around 10 times now through my MarkBass combo and no feedback at all. It does have a volume dial which I keep set at about one third which is about the same as my ESP Jazz bass set on full volume so maybe keeping the volume low on the Wasbburn AB10 is cutting out any feedback.

    My band Cow will be playing at the Bed Bar in Woking on the 24th July 2011. We play a mixture of original acoustic pop/motown soul and supported Paul Weller on his 2010 stadium tour. We will be launching our debut single on the night and really hope some of you can make it down. Doors open at 7.30pm and closes at 11pm. We should be on stage around 9pm for about an hour followed by DJ Neil Barker (shake/black cat London) who will be playing floorshaking Northern Soul and scorchin Ska The venue is pretty much opposite the main train station and has llinks to London and most other cities. The address is, Bed Bar, 2 Church Path, Woking, GU21 6EJ Hope to see some of you there.

    I may give flats a go as well as some rounds to see what they both sound like. I am not after any sort of DB tone but something thats warm but with definition. The Bronze strings sound perfectly ok although they do clank about a fair bit.

    My Washburn AB10 is currently strung with Bronze string but I was wondering how it would sound with normal roundwounds. Is this worth trying or has anyone tried this and can let me know if its worth doing or are Bronze strings a better choice for acoustic basses?

    It looks like I might be using two basses (fretted acoustic and fretless electric) at gigs now but I only have one input on my amp (MarkBass CMD121H). I was wondering whats the best way to set this up so I don't have to keep unplugging one lead from one bass into the other bass each time I change. Is it possible to get some kind of splitter box that plugs into the input on the amp and then have each bass plagged into this with its own lead? Any other options. Thanks

    Unlined for me also. Prefer to play using my ear rather than relying on lines. I also really believe in learning the fretboard is key to being able to play well and every fretboard is different. My ESP neck has small distances between each notes where as the Stingray has much bigger gaps. Swapping between the two can really throw me sometimes as where I think a note is on one neck, its different on the other neck. So I am prefering to stick with one bass and really working on my muscle memory and it really seems to be paying off.

    Does anyone know what happened to this bass and who bought it in the end? Really trying to track its whereabouts and I am unable to get hold of Lysdexia. Any help really appreciated.
