And I suppose it has a nice low action and, it will be perfect for my small hands to play, sumbitch, why did I come on here tonight? Having a crisis...
HEHEHE erm, I would not say I have very big hands, maybe medium and its lovely to play. The neck really is beautiful. If I could afford to keep it and buy a Streamer I would but something has to go
  2. *** NOW SOLD TO PHILLY *** Hi All, Not sure I am doing the right thing here as I love this bass and I'll probably regret selling it, but I have major GAS for a Warwick Streamer. For sale is my MIA Fender Jazz 75 Re-Issue. It's a beautiful bass and the nicest, easiest bass I have ever played. It is effortless to play and has a wonderful Jazz tone. I bought this from Molan for £750 last year but after buying a Warwick Corvette earlier in the year, I am totally bitten by the whole Warwick thing and really have GAS for a Streamer. I am not after making any money on it so I would be looking to get back around what I paid for it from Molan. The bass is in mint condition as you can see from the pictures. No dents, scratches, buckle rash etc. However, there is a very small mark on the first fret between the A and D string. It can't be seen visually and does not affect the playing in any shape or form. Molan and I were both aware of this and found it did not cause any problems, either playing or adjusting the truss rod. I have tried to include a picture of the 1st fret but like I say, you can't really see anything. The bass comes with a Fender fitted hard case, new Elite Stadium strings and polishing cloth. I am based in Surrey and any inspection/trial is very welcome. Any questions please do not hesitate to ask. I would like around £750 for it plus courier at buyers cost. I am also willing to meet part way if not too far away.
  3.
if you were to put him into a category I suppose he would be 'Classic Autism' - but when I started working with him about a year ago I was told he had "Severe autism, learning disabilities and other challenging behaviours". He can't speak, but can understand what is being said to him to an extent, whether he chooses to acknowledge what you say is another story! I firmly believe that he is a genius in his own right. He uses his little book (which is there in the picture) to point at a picture of something that he wants (usually a jigsaw puzzle, pancakes or 'the shop') and we can communicate by using hand gestures such as high fives or waving. I gave him my first ever bass, an encore P bass, and he loves it! ...however he just puts it in his mouth...we'll get there though!
I really admire people like you who do this sort of work helping others who really can't support themselves. I think it takes a very special person to do what you do. Keep up the good work fella.
  4.
A photo from a recent band practice for a band i was depping with
There is something so very wrong with the picture. The bassist is fine and the bass is fine also. Its just they should not be together, the bass is with the wrong bassist

  7.
I set it by playing normally, turn gain up until clip light just starts to flash, turn gain down slightly, turn master up to achieve desired volume/structural damage.
Yep, same as me.
  8.
BUMP. P's are so yesterday ;-)
Yeah to right, the hot kids are all playing Warwick's now Come and smell the real flavour, join the party and get yourself a Warwick :)

    SOLD.
Not unless she's wrapped the box up....... June? haven't you sold the natural as well?? That's torture!! Go for it mate.
Yeah the natural is sold but the teal one is just in the case upstairs, screaming to be opened and played
  10.
You wont be saying that next year when we all have Sandbergs lol.
Well, I'm over the moon with my Warwick. Plus my Stingray is great and my Fender Jazz is a great all rounder. However, in the back of my mind I know that there is a distinct possibility that you could be right. For once I actually fear the future
  11.
Yeah, a bit like a P bass :-) I loved the PM5 i played a few years ago, and while i dont regret getting a Lakland instead i always thought i would get a Sandberg one day. I think im on a active bass trip at the moment and by all accounts the PM4 does active in a very passive sounding way.
WARWICK Sorry, had to mention that one
  12.
I know what you mean about the sandbergs. Pretty plain and sightly ugly to my eyes but they do seem to offer everything i want. The Sterling is definitely out now. I just dont want a skinny neck any more. Still up for a SR5 though. That would offer me narrower string spacing and the lower notes. If i got one of those i would sell the Ray34 and buy a cheap P or PJ. Go one, have a sneaky play. She will never know.....unless she comes on here ;-)
I would imagine the Sandburg is a bit like my ESP. Nothing special to look at but the most amazing tone and playability. I get the impression from Nick that his is like that and from other people's comments. Probably one of those basses that does not grab your attention in a shop but if you ever pick it up and play then you will be blown away by it.
  13.
Yeah, ive been in touch with that guy wanting one but im just out of his price range. But like i say, if a Sandberg pops up for a good price im happy to drop mine. I don't know why i dont like sunbursts, maybe it just looks old to me. My first guitar was a sunburst, maybe i still relate it to that. I must admit im not 100% on the colour of nicks PM4 but i could live with it. Arctic white would be nicer. Nicks has dots on the fretboard though, thats a big plus to me. You pay extra so something like that. Glad your still enjoying the Warwick. Still counting down the days till your SR4 is let out of the box lol. Ive just put some EB Group III flats on my Ray34. They feel really nice but ive yet to play through my rig. Im sure they will be great. I haven't really encountered that bright tone i always thought i would get form a stingray. Much more mellower than i expected. Im still up for getting a SR4. Some nice ones up for sale at the mo, particularly the black and maple one. For now though i dont want to spend any money on more or less duplicating what i already have.
Yeah, Stingray is still locked away until June My wife is out tonight and I am very tempted to have a play Yeah, you would be mad to get an SR4 next to your Ray34. Better off with a Sterling, SR5 or something different. Not convinced on the whole Sandberg thing to be honest. Probably amazing basses but just a bit non descript to me. Maybe you should get a Warwick

    SOLD.
Cheers Linus.
No worries. By the way, my wife has had the Stingray packed away now for some weeks. Not aloud it until my birthday in June She's out tonight though. The question is, do you think she will ever know if I have a sneaky play :)
  15.
I really want a Sandberg now. I love my Ray34 and its still my main bass but i do miss the P tone as well. As long as i can cover the cost of a Sandberg ill be happy. As soon as a Sandberg comes up i probably will drop the price for a quick sale. Saying that, im really not in a great rush to get rid of it. I really would keep the DD but im going off the narrow neck. Apparently the Sandbergs have a narrow, but not jazz sized necks. This sounds ideal for me now. I saw that SR5 (and the first time he advertised it) but i hate sunburst or Cherry burst. I just cant get my head around them. Shallow i know. Now Blackburst, thats my ideal finish. Hoping one of the Sandbergs will come up soon in that colour. Have you seen Nicks one? This is all his fault lol.
By the way, a guy in the wanted section is looking for a Duck Dunn. Yeah saw Nick's one. Although not my cup of tea, it looks nice and lots seem to think its a cracking bass. He seems over the moon about it. I totally understand about colour. Not a chance on this earth could I ever have a sunburst bass. Made it even worse when a non bass playing friend saw me looking at one and said its a bit country and western :) I'm just totally in love with my Warwick and really badly want a Streamer
  16.
Open to near offers type of bump.
Dave, don't give this away, its a great price as it is. Have you seen this? SOLD.

Superb basses and a great price. If anyone is looking for a great Precision, then you would be a fool to pass this up and Tom is great to deal with.
  18. I'm really struggling to think of someone musical who I regard as a genius. I can think of some great songwriters, drummers, guitarists, bass players even who are amazingly talented in there chosen field but a genius I really can't. I guess it depends of ones definition of a genius.
  19.
By the time Mozart was my age ... he'd been dead for 18 years.
Is that right? I thought you were close to Seventy
  20. Well my powers of deduction has worked out that the venue is The Sea Breeze café at Anjuna flea market. Is that right?
  21. Beautiful bass. If only it was fretted, Dave_Bass5 would have that off you in a flash I think. Good luck with the sale.
  22. I've also played this and it is stunning. The colour is amazing in the flesh. Someone will get themselves a beautiful bass.
  23. Does this have active pickups or active electronics or is it all passive?
  24. Yes but only for a bit of fun. In all seriousness, the Fender Jazz is known as the Fender, the Warwick Corvette is know as the Corvette and the Musicman Stingray is known as the Stingray. The ESP Jazz is known as the ESP and the Squire Fretless is known as the Fretless.
  25. My Fender MIA 75 Re-issue jazz is just pure heaven to play. Just so easy and I don't have to think about what I'm doing. I can play it blind. My Stingray is very similar. Very easy and easy to play but not quite as natural. Very close though. My Warwick Corvette is a little harder as it has a very thin neck, a longer neck and smaller body. However, it does feel great to play and looks stunning. I just want its older dirtier sister, the Streamer What I will say though, is the Corvette is my first introduction to Warwicks and I love them to bits. Probably my favourite bass company ever. The quality is outstanding, the bass is just beautiful and I am over the moon with it.
