My neck, my back, my knees, all three joints on my fingers, my hips, my wrists, my shoulders, my elbows, my ankles, my toes. I can do it on demand usually and is quite a party trick although my neck and back usually makes girls feel sick :) I spoke to my physio once when my neck and shoulders needed some work and she said that its just build up of air escaping. She said its nothing to worry about unless it hurts.

Not sure why Peaches is voted the best bass line ever. Its good but I have heard stuff just as good and better.

Did a gig at a pub called The Fighting Cocks in Bagshot. We announced one of our songs saying this song is about fighting. Half way through the song, a big fight broke out, spilled out onto the road, the Police was called and the gig stopped. Even made the local newspaper Another one of our gigs was at The Princess Hall in Aldershot. They had a statue of Arthur English who I think was a soldier based in Aldershot or something like that. Anyway, during our gig, our fans decided to strip him of his clothes and deface the poor chap. Again, that made the local papers

At the time, it was the biggest gig I was about to play in front of about 6000 people. Brixton Academy in the early 90's. Nice Trace Elliot bass rig. Also had wireless system. Made sure I checked, double checked and checked again that everything was ok. However, due to my nerves, I accidently turned the amp off. So song started, big guitar and drum intro, drummer does his big fill, enter the big fat low driving bass but nothing. Thankfully, I like to keep things simple and so checked the bass volume was up, wireless was on, skipped over to bass amp turned it on and within 15 seconds after I should have played everything was working. Even have it on video and you can see the singer knows something was wrong. The other one which was worse was playing small pub gig. Pub was packed and pretty intimate. We were doing a cover of Stand by me in G. We did a verse with just acoustic guitar and vocals and then the rest of the band kicks in. I decided to come in of F# and it was such a howler that the whole pub laughed. Oh well, funny looking back.

[/quote] This is some of the point. Original 70's punk was not only about music, it was more about fashion and attitude. Malcolm McLaren loved this and why fashion had such a strong influence on the whole scene. He was also the driving force behind the Sex pistols and the whole image. American punk was more of a backlash from rock which in the 70's had become very boring and soft. Nowadays, if somebody is a punk they can be into anything. From the Sex Pistols, to Green Day, to the Clash, to Paramore, to The Damned, to Hendrix. There are so many different layers that anything goes. I guess it depends on what generation you are from.

We were never just labelled punk, it was guitar punk pop or even punk rock which is probably a more accurate description. Bands like Ash and early Manics played fast catchy, noisy guitar music. If this was punk rock pop or not then I don't know but our music was similar to this and we were classed as guitar punk pop. Thats all I am saying in response to LWTAIT's point about punk these days is different to what punk was in the 70's or 80's. Just to clarify, I do not think Ash or Early Manics is punk.

My old band was classed as catchy guitar based punk pop. What that was really saying was the songs were catching so thats the catchy and pop label. Played like a band on guitars as apposed to keyboards so thats the guitar link. Had a fast energetic noisy up for it sound and attitude so thats the punk label. Similar bands to us were Ash, Feeder, Early Manics. So I can see the connection to punk pop and not really sure what else you could class it as. Pop, well no as thats Girls Aloud. Guitar pop, well no as thats Travis, Semisonic, Blur, The Smiths. Rock, well no thats Bon Jovi, U2, Queen. Metal, no thats anything like Metalica, GnR. Its all very confusing especially when you try and add Indie bands into the mix.

Nice review. I am looking at one of these to replace my MAG 300H. Not sure if this LG would be better or my MAG 300H would be better.

I would love to replace Adam Clayton in U2, especially if we are talking about earlier stuff like the War/Unfogrttable Fire/Joshua Tree era. Replacing Derek Forbes in Simple Minds around the New Gold Dream/Sparkle In The Rain era would also be amazing. If forming a band, then probably, Bass - Me Drums - Either Stuart Copeland from the Police or Larry Mullen Jr from U2 Guitar - Slash from GnR Vocals - Layne Staley from Alice In Chains I think that would be an interesting mix

I have never changed my battery either. I have had about 5 lessons, lasting about 2 hours each with the Stagg plugged in for all of it. Plus, playing at home which would amount to many hours. Maybe 20 hours in total. Maybe a little less or maybe a lot more and never changed the battery yet.

However, if I used the LG350 with my two 8 ohms cabs, they would run at 4 ohms giving me the full 350 watts from the LG350. Have I got that right??

I've got an Ashdown MAG115 1x15 Deep Speaker Cab which has a power handling of 250 watts. I will be getting an Ashdown MAG210T 2 x 10 Deep Speaker Cab which has a power handling of 200 watts to go with it. Will the LG1000 be too powerful for these two cabs? Just wondering if its worth getting a LG350 as a spare head for my two cabs or get the LG1000 as my main head. No point getting the LG1000 if its to powerful for my cabs.
