Thanks for posting, will be keeping an eye on both of their amps.

You are welcome, I'll dig out some more for you as well in a bit.

Some nice ones here,

It just sounds to me like a really good vintage P-Bass, with the tone set mid-way so there's just a bit of clank and bite but still some warmth in the overall tone. My 77 P-Bass I had sounded exactly the same. I'm also going to say he's probably using rounds but I could be wrong.

What bass do you regret selling? Was it love?
Linus27 replied to vinorange's topic in General Discussion
Mine would probably be my 2008 US Fender Precision and my fretless Warwick Streamer Jazzman. -

I agree, that was really good and I did love the bass tone. So am I right in thinking that the other singer at the front, bassist and guitarist were the original musicians from FGTH? If so, the bassist wasn't too bad

5 String Bass Similar Quality to Squire Vintage Mod?
Linus27 replied to DocTrucker's topic in Bass Guitars
You also have the cheaper Musicman basses, I think they are called Stirling. Nice to hear the Squier VM 5 string Jazz is good, I'm looking to get one in a while as my first foray into 5 string basses. Ibanez is the other I'm looking at. -
That was great but I was thinking more like this, just an acoustic guitar or maybe acoustic guitar and piano sort of thing. Really stripped back so the emphasis is on her voice.

Ooh I've not seen that, will go hunt for it, thank you 🙃

To me, she's a bit like a pop version of Shania Twain. On her own, she is a great singer and can get up with a band and carry it off with great vocals, melodies and a captivating performance. She can also put on the big show, with backing singers, dancers, lights, theatrics, backing tracks and and go large with the performance and still pull it off. I'd love to see her do a stripped back MTV unplugged type set.

I like Dua Lipa and thought her Glasto performance was good but I do get what you are saying and I was hoping more for something a bit like this which is more like a band performance.

Dua Lipa 😍 Brilliant performance despite the cliche speeches between the songs.

For those who are using a Sansamp to get the Ampeg tone, are you using the recommended settings in the manual or have you created your own. If so, can anyone share their settings please. I also did a gig and used one of the BA combo's, I think it was a 1x12 and I wasn't really very hopeful of it sounding very good but I was really blown away with it. It sounded really really good with my fretless Precision. I've also used a PF500 head which again I was really impressed with, I only moved it on as I wanted something lighter.

I've never used Reverb, is it quite safe or do you still get the usual scammers or waste of time interest?
-
Yeah, it is super slow at the moment. I've noticed a lot of the same equipment is still available and hasn't shifted and some items are really well priced. No idea why its slow to be honest.

These AI image generators, is it possible to punch in a few words or even sentences and then get it to generate an image based on those words or sentences? I'm thinking about an album cover based on either a lyric or meaning behind the song and rather than asking for an artist to interpret it as a piece of art, see what the AI come up with. Is that possible to do?

MarkBass has been a bit hit and miss for me over the years. I had a LM3 and 2x NY112 cabs and I really didn't gel with it. I was playing 50's Rock n Roll and I found it to be a bit lifeless, sterile and uninspiring. I quickly moved it all on and got an Ampeg Pf500 and Barefaced Two10 which was way more dynamic. I now have a LM IV which I really like and sounds very good through the Barefaced Two10. This is for fretless and a lot more melodic type of playing. I've not tried any of the new cabs or even the old Traveller cabs but I've not heard anything bad about them.
