If we are talking Fender, then I would like to see them do a fixed range of classic re-issue MIA basses. In the range we would have, 1. Fender Jazz 75 re-issue with binding and block inlays in a wide range colours including natural with the option of having matching headstock and an option to have black or white binding/inlays. 2. Fender Telecaster bass based on the 1951 model available in more than just butterscotch or sunburst. Probably a few other classics but that would be a good starter for now.

Yes white with rosewood looks better to me also.

If I can sell my MIA Jazz, I would get a Streamer SS1 or Streamer LX Jazzman and use it as my main bass. Nothing seems to be selling at the moment so in a bit of a pickle

Well had a go last night at replacing the damaged nut and it was a doddle. Took me 5 minutes. Job done. Thanks for the help everyone.

Yes, lower gauge rounds is going to be my next job (when I get paid ) I normally use light 40 - 100 but its currently strung with 45 - 105 on.

I am the proud owner on a Warwick Streamer Jazzman and at some point I would like to get it set up and some work done to it. The Just-A-Nut edge clips that hold the nut in place have snapped off and so I have a new Just-A-Nut III which needs fitting. It looks as though the existing Just-A-Nut mouting is different to the new Just-A-Nut III mounting. Rather than take it to any old local guitar shop to fit, I would sooner take it to a recommended or approve Warwick specialist if one exists. Does ayone know of any good Warwick Service Specilaists in or around London/Surrey/Hampshire/Berkshire etc?

Yes, as far as it will go I think. I might have another look at it all again just to double check. The neck does look quite flat now so its just at the bridge end which could do with lowering so the strings are lower up at the high end of the neck.

Well I managed to lower the strings and it did improve the fretless mwah a little. However, I would like the strings to be even lower but I have lowered the nut and bridge as much as possible and straighted the neck as much as possible and I personally can't get the strings any lower. So for me, the next step is take it to an expert.
