  1. 2 P bass pickguards - 3-ply mint and 1-ply matte black. Both unused. The mint one has some light surface marks due to storage. £10 each posted
  2. This is a lightweight (1.7kg) Squier P body circa 2000. I once had it on a bitsa fretless P bass a long time ago. Eventually I stripped off all the thick poly with a heat gun (and discovered that it is an alder 4 piece body). I sanded it smooth and refinished it in black nitro over white as at the time I was going for a Scott Thunes look-a-like P ☺️ Although it's wasn't a pro finish, it was good enough for me. I did the refin at least 10 years ago and it has lived in my bits drawer under my bed eversince, where it has picked up some unintentional relicing from my occasional rummaging. I've kept it around solely because when it was a fretless that I gigged with, the whole bass was so resonant, acoustically loud, and nicely lightweight. A good one. I had plans to build it up again but I can't see that happening now. It would be great for those who like the relic thing and if not, it would be easy enough to refin it in whatever colour suits you, as it would take fresh nitro over the top of what I've done with minimal prep. £45 posted
  3. I bought this from China via ebay but the bitsa project I was planning to put together went on indefinite hold when I bought a new P. It cost me around £120 all in. The neck looks really nice and well made. Smells good too! 😄 It's actually darker in real life with a pleasing satin sheen to it. The flame looks nicer and richer too. Crappy phone camera I'm afraid. £80 posted
  4. Set of 4 unused Hipshot licenced Ultralites (Fender fit). Great way to cure neck dive. £65 posted
  5. Delano PMVC 4 FE/M2 P Bass pickups - handmade in Germany. Never used, still in the box. From Delano: How to improve a classic pickup design? DELANO takes the classic P-Bass® pickup design a major step forward. The big poles grab all the strings movements with zero loss. Specially engineered magnets and custom wound coils make up for a bass transducer ready to redefine the word PRECISION. Just imagine meaty P-Bass® tone with in-your-face Stingray® style grind and attack, and then you got at least the frame of the picture. Due to its tight broad frequency range, this is a GREAT pickup for nu-school funk and rock players, it loves drop tuned basses and massive tone tweaking £80 posted *now £75

  6. First one that came to mind 😁
  7. Tom bought an effects pedal off me. Super deal, super chap. Easy peasy. Thanks Tom!
  8. (Höfner) Very Thin Ice - The Gregory Brothers
  9. As it says, EHX B9 Organ Machine pedal. Unused, pedal and power supply still in original wrapping. I bought it on a whim 2 years ago and never got around to even trying it. Fantastic classic organ sounds for guitar or bass by all accounts. £200 new, selling for £150 posted.
  10. I've ordered a set of Chicago tuning strings for it. I haven't toyed with my banjo for a few months now as I've been really into my concert uke and progressed well (enough). Makes sense to go with Chicago as I can transpose the chords easily enough and it'll be far easier on my brain 😄 Can't wait! Cheers for your recommendation mate 👍
  11. Beware of the parrots though.
  12. People gonna do what feel they need to do, whether that's creating it or choosing not to listen to it. All good.
  13. @musicbassman thank for the heads up. Never heard of them but I like this. More research is now taking place! There's definitely an essence of Zappa going on (you know what I mean? You know what I mean? 😉) but done in an original way. This is a good thing. Ta 👍
  14. Great choice. I'm sure you'll be pleased. Enjoy!
  15. Ernie Ball Slinkys on a semi acoustic (which a friend has on long term loan now) - 16 years and still sound great on that bass. Better than ever in fact. D'addario 5 string black tapes on a HB fretless - at least 10 years and still sounds pretty much the same as when they were new. Current experiment is a new set of T.I. flats on my P Bass, which I am never changing (unless one breaks).
  16. They do one roasted too: https://richtonemusic.co.uk/Fender-Roasted-Maple-Precision-Bass-Neck-20-Med-Jumbo-Frets-Maple/
  17. I agree. It needs one to complement the Jetsons body (which I like btw). It deserves a headstock with retro sci-fi styling and 2+2 tuners imo.
  18. The now grown up original fans and their kids that they probably took along to the recent Blink reunion shows I expect.
  19. Yes Roto 66s. Try a set of those, vol and tone fully open, up the mids, treble and gain on the amp to taste then dig in. I bet you'll be good.
  20. I've been using Suno (I have no idea how it compares to Udio) to write daft lyrics then turn them into songs. A friend and I are having a right old comedy tennis match sending each other mad songs. It's bloody great! I don't really look at it as making music though, just a fun computer game. I just do it on my phone from the site, not via an app. Takes about 10 minutes with hilarious results.
  21. Unfortunately, the answer is no one. No one I'd choose to see anyway, because I can't justify (or afford) paying what tickets for "names" cost now. It's going to be a lucky dip with local bands from now on. Hopefully I'll find some nice surprises...
  22. Thanks for the offer 👍 I'd like to know what kind of music/artists is she listening to in her own time for pleasure at the moment, and who she'd like to work with that she hasn't yet. Thanks!
  23. Höfners are a fun lightweight option. They sound huge.
