I know i guess i have to try one, but any owners with Double Buck pickups...do they get in the way for slapping/popping duties?
Hand on heart i don;t do too much slapping during a gig, but interested if they hinder due to their placement/size on the bass?
Thanks
Graeme
I'd like a 4 string ACG Harlot singlecut fretless and a Status Kingbass Artist I think!
+1 for the Kingbass - also like a 4x10 can and a small amp head too - something reliable!!

ps...reckon Santa is reading this thread...me hope so!
I tried the boiling method a few years ago adding some washing detergent....seemed to work, but the strings didn't last too long. I'm going to give the purple meths a go - thanks for the tip!
Hi all
For my Bluesy Rocky Funky trio, it's either I Shot The Sheriff, the Thrill is Gone, or Crossfire by SRV. 2nd set is usually Superstition.
For my covers band, it's Vertigo (U2) or Valerie. 2nd set is usually Summer of 69
Great thread

Hi All - I seem to have 2 copies of this fab DVD, so one has to go!
You know the one - Featuring Victor Wooten and his performance from Bass Day 1998. Tracks include: 'U Ain't Got No Groove' and 'Amazing Grace'. Also a 60 minute interview and a guest appearance by Oteil Burbridge.
If anyones interested, let me know - about £10 inc postage?
Thanks
Graeme

+1 for Reds!
