1. Where have these dissapeared to ? You cna still by Nickels and Stainless rounds but no flats. FFS - Just when you find strings you like they vanish!
 2.
I'm surprised you noticed, JE has about 20 seconds of screen time in the whole thing! Incredible concert though.
and it's hard to look what his fingers are doing when all you can look at is the mental skeleton flared suit
 3.
What's Tekkers?
A slang term for technique in football I'm trying (and failing) to be down wiv tha kidz
 4. I watched The Who - Live at the IoW Festival (1970?) on You Tube at the weekend. It's an amazing gig and well worth a hour and 20 mins of your time. What I did notice and have noticed in the past from watching his playing is his unique technique. Hi picking fingers flying everywhere. How does he play so well and quickly ? They guys a legend!
 5. Interesting thread. Does anyone know if Bravewood have made them ? And would love to see pics of the Bass Doc one

 8. What version do you use and do you have any monitoring from it ?
 9. Thanks - They look great but I forgot to mention my budget is only £270 for the lot
 10. Bought some nice (passive) speakers a few months ago but now our old trusty Peavy head has given up the ghost. Speakers are 15" tops so can handle a fair bit of power, but saying that we're only a pub/mediums function room rock and roll band so don't need to fill theaters. Currently only used for vocals (x3) but would like the option to put drums/bass through if required. We would also like some basic monitoring. What would be best a Yamaha EMX type combined or power amp and seperate mixer ie - http://www.thomann.de/gb/the_tamp_e800.htm and http://www.thomann.de/gb/behringer_xenyx_x1222_usb.htm What would be good for monitors and how do you run these from the desk ? Anyone spotted any bargains about ? Cheers Neil
 11. Currently vocal only but we would like the flexibility of putting bass/drums through it for outdoor gigs. Our 15" tops should be able to handle it with the addition of a sub ? If possible with the added complication of keeping it portable I want the moon on a stick !
 12. Our trusty old Peavey head gave up the ghost on Saturday. Thankfully it got us through the gig on it's last legs. We now need to replace it. We have decent Behringer 15" speakers (passive). What does the collective recommend ? (Budget £260) I think - Power Amp ~800 watts Mixer ?? Some sort of monitor speakers Decent cables
 13. How much is a stripped early 70's P ?
 14.
I've had (and have the P still) a Squier CV J and P and while they were great basses they always seamed a put me on until I could get the Fender equivolent. I'm a badge snob

Some of us just can't get past the "Skoda' badge. Guilty as charged M'Lud.
I'm a badge snob that also drives a Skoda Work that one out!

 16.
I live a 30 min walk from PMT Leeds and don't consider it worth the walk there... definitely wouldn't bother coming all the way from York.
Once they had a AVRI P in aged white, it was a lovely thing...at £1700 though! It's all a bit bog standard though
