1.
Yes, the sound of smugness. Also, I used to like Prefab Sprout and The Divine Comedy. Since ripping all my CDs to iTunes, I now immediately hit skip whenever one of their tracks come up.
Not the ones with me on bass though, obviously...
 2. The accidental applies to all octaves of the same note. The natural sign after the tied note is technically unnecessary but is the remind the player that the note is now naturalised. In proper classical notation that would not be there but in more modern notation it's often added for clarity. Personally I prefer it to be there as it avoids confusion when sight-reading. If I was writing the chart I would include it, but possibly in brackets... Hope that helps!
 3. I'd just stick a jazz neck on a proper standard P-bass. I much prefer the feel of a P-bass neck and have thought about switching to that on my jazz. Jazz necks feel like a guitar to me. But then I do play upright bass half the time...
 4. Sold! Actually I part-exchanged it at the Wunjo bass centre on Denmark Street. Go grab yourselves a lovely piece of kit and tell them I sent you
 5. Price Drop Bump!! Now £400!! Happy Easter!
 6. Saturday morning bump! Looking at possible part-exchange options with a couple of shops but would prefer direct sale or trade for a mint condition Aguilar SL112. Make me an offer folks; you won't find one of these in a UK shop yet. It's that new...
 7.
There are some good Facebook pages/groups where you can sell gear free. They have been ok for me, for example I couldn't sell my Thumb here but it went quickly on FB. UK Bass gear for sale trade, Bass market UK etc.
What Karlfer said! I sold my Warwick through one of those groups last week. Very easy and totally free of course...
 8. That looks pretty nifty indeed. I can't bear spending sll that money on Sibelius for the rare occasions I actually need it. Was considering Sibelius First...
 9. *Sold!* I'm selling my virtually brand new Warwick WCA 408 LW CE Cabinet, used only three times!! I bought this a couple of months ago to replace my old 115ND cab in the hope of getting a broader set of sounds. It sounds absolutely fantastic (especially with the new LWA1000 amp) but is a little heavier than I'd hoped. I live in a first floor flat and my car is often quite a walk so I need to change this for something a little lighter. It only weighs 22kg but I am too tempted by the idea of the Aguilar SL112's which can be lifted one-handed! Here's the specs: Warwick WCA 408 Celestion Lightweight Cabinet, Bass Cabinet, 600 Watt, 8 Ohms, 4 x 8 "Celestion Speaker with 4" Celestion Neodymium Horn, SPL 94dB, Frequency range: 65 Hz - 20 kHz, bass reflex enclosure, robust metal grill, 2 x 6, 3mm jack coax combo jacks (lockable), dimensions whd: 520 x 540 x 400 mm, weight: 22 kg As I said this is virtually brand new. Cheapest these go for (and I don't think anybody stocks them yet in the UK) is £508.24 from Thomann. I've used this on three gigs only and looked after it well so it's pretty much mint. Looking for £400 or will trade for an Aguilar SL112 in the same condition. I'm only selling it to get one of these so no other trade offers please!
 10. Boo! Hiss! Surely they must realise the vast majority of music-type folks are Mac/iOS users?? It's madness I tell you!
 11.
I can't find anything else about it . Is it April 1st yet ?
Oh PLEASE don't let this be an April Fools joke!!
 12. Ouch! I considered doing that with some of mine once. Until I thought about the reality of actually doing it! A nice string quartet arrangement was in the back of my brain for a future project...
 13. The interface looks awesome. As a total non-pianist if I want to score something out on a computer I have to input each note manually with the keyboard/mouse which takes forever. This is how I want to write notation!!
 14.
This looks amazing, I've spent about 6 hours so far today entering stuff into Sibelius. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10152857159429389&pnref=story
Wow. That's a game-changer right there. They have to release this for iOS too. Are you using it now?
 15.
Sounds great. Lots of air in it!

Very, very nice.
Thanks very much guys. Hoping to record Volume II sometime this millennium...
 16.
I love this record! Really beautiful music. Definitely recommended
Thanks for the recommendation Steve! Much appreciated. Hoping I can gather the troops to embark upon Volume II at some point!
 17.
I'm slightly concerned by "There are scuffs and signs of use around the finish." but it looks OK otherwise.
If that's their idea of scuffs and signs of use I wonder what they consider a write-off?! Signs of use by who? Pete Townsend?!
 18.
RRP £69.99 but this totally useless guitar can be yours for the bargain price of £32 http://www.ebay.co.u...=item51cdf8db06
That's definitely more than £37.99 worth of repairs right there! They must be having a laugh! One for the log fire...
 19. Argh! So close yet so far Peter! Yes I really am after the über-lightweight cabs. My heavy gear hjumping days are over. Glad you enjoyed the record! Simon
