  1. Thanks mate - very tempted! Best of luck with the sale, have a BUMP.
  2. Lovely! Could you comment on the width/depth of the neck? I'm aware that the necks seem to change over the years - am I right in thinking that the early thumbs had "slimmer" necks than the later models? Best of luck with the sale!
  3. Looks great - good luck with the sale. Is this short scale?
  4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZB1hW-0Hag My very quick comparison between the Deep Impact and Future Impact, using 2 settings I commonly use live. This is after ~10 mins of playing with the settings, but you get the idea. The lowest note I hit is a low E to test the tracking on the sub octave synth setting(!) For reference, that's an 18V active bass with roundwound strings. My shoddy playing at the beginning does the original Deep Impact a disservice (sorry Akai).
  5. I can confirm that the tracking on the Future Impact is absolutely a non-issue, it's very, very good with both my 18V active and passive basses, and roundwound/flatwound strings. I also regularly gig with the original Deep Impact, and this new pedal is SPOT ON. It not only replicates some of the key sounds that I get out of my original, it offers many more possibilities with it's 99 patches and MIDI capabilities (which I have not yet explored, but it sounds promising).
  6. ON HOLD
  7. Another bump. The Mrs just found it in my home studio/our spare bedroom....
  8. Keen for this, although I'm running the Great West Run in Exeter in the morning. Providing I survive, I'll pop along
  9. I'm based in Exeter and I would be keen to support this. I can bring along a few treats
  10. PM incoming
  11. That link for pictures isn't working for me? Would love one of these - good luck with the sale!
  12. Bump - this is reluctantly still for sale. Price drop to £800 plus shipping
  13. PM for the PS-6 pal
  14. That is fantastically helpful - thanks. I was looking to sequence the Minitaur using the Arturia, so: GR-55 into Minitaur into Arturia. I was also hoping that latency issues would be minimal as the tracking of the GR-55 (which I only use with MIDI, not bass/MIDI blend is very, very good). I suppose the proof will be in the pudding. I'm not sure if the GR-55 MIDI out is also a MIDI thru, but a MIDI merge box is an easy fail-safe.
  15. Hi All, Looking for some help. I currently have a bass set up with the roland GK3B and GR-55 floor unit. Tracking is great and sounds are cool. So far no problem. However, I am looking to go deeper into synth bass and I have 2 questions: 1) Can I use the MIDI output from the GR-55 to send my MIDI guitar signal into a Moog Minitaur, and then plug the output of this into my amp. 2) If this works, how could I incorporate a sequencer (like the Arturia Beatstep) so that I can sequence/step/arppegiate this sound? Where in the chain of GK3B bass ----> GR-55 ---> Moog Minitaur----> Amp would the Beatstep go? Please note that I am not looking to play Keys - I just want to go further with the bass. Oh thanks
  16. Gorgeous! Have a bump, I'd love this.
  17. Now on hold
  18. Lovely! Is it fretless? I can't tell from the picture. Good luck with the sale
