Fantastic info, thank you for that!

Well, I like my amp a lot. Thank you!

I bought a hand wired B15 Heritage years ago. I read somewhere that only 150 were made, a first batch of 50, then a second batch of 100, some of which made their way to Europe. Does anyone know if this information is correct? There doesn't seem to be a way of contacting Ampeg via email any more! Cheers.

SOLD! Line 6 Helix HX Stomp, excellent condition. £310, next day postage to a UK address included. Great bit of kit, but I'm using the computer and a valve preamp exclusively these days, so it's just sitting in its box. The Latest firmware updates have been applied. I'll pop a photo or two up later. Thanks

£100 each (+ £5 towards postage) Three Tech21 Sansamp Character pedals. These are getting a bit harder to find now, they all sound great, but these three have always been my favourites. Blonde - Mkll - £100 Liverpool Mkl - £100 British Mkll - £100 I'll post them 'Signed For' delivery, next working day.

£120 inc. Special Delivery (next day). PJB BIGHEAD Headphone amplifier, HA-1. Perfect condition, boxes and bits and bobs. Rechargeable, so you can sit in the garden in the summer with a beer and your bass. This sounds wonderful, fantastic bit of kit. I used to run my pedal board and pre into it for silent practice. I've now gone all computery, so this isn't getting any use. I'll post it for free, next-day Special Delivery to a UK address. If you're not in the UK, we can sort something out.

I've got no way of recording atm, but I own an Ampeg Heritage B-15 and managed to dial in my go-to B-15 tone in a matter of seconds! The 'Blue' channel sounds fat as hell with my Jazz/flatwounds, with just enough gain to push into thickness without too much breakup. I don't use overdriven bass tones, so I can't really comment on the 'red' channel with bass, but it sounds incredible on my guitar! They have a no-questions-asked return policy, so worth trying it out. I use this with a TwoNotes CABM+ .

Thanks very much, that makes sense, I'll try a more gainy setting to see what happens. Cheers.

I've just discovered I have been feeding a tube pre pedal (Blackbird) that wants 12v 1500mA only 12v 200mA. I corrected it using their supplied wall wart, but can't hear any difference. Should I expect that? Cheers

Origin Effects Revival Drive Custom, with optional foot switch. The 'Custom' version lets you tweak the re-amp EQ to match your particular amp. As new condition, all original boxes, stickers, cable and manual. £430, including Special Delivery postage to a UK address. If you're not in the UK, we can work something out!

Pedal making a fast ticking noise (sound file attached!)
Walker replied to Walker's topic in Repairs and Technical
Yes! They have now sent me two power supplies, and I've tried with my own Strymon and OneSpot, set to correct voltage. I have no idea what this noise is! -
Pedal making a fast ticking noise (sound file attached!)
Walker replied to Walker's topic in Repairs and Technical
I have a house full of LED bulbs and dimmers switches 😬. Could the environment really affect it that badly? No other pedals/kit are affected (and I have a bunch!) Maybe I'll take it to another building and try it? Thank you! -
Hi, I’m hoping someone may be able to help with this. Last week I bought a Two Notes C.A.B.M+ pedal to use with my bass and guitar preamps, straight into an FRFR speaker. It’s basically an IR loader with some other useful stuff like a simulated pre and power amp, so you can run your pedalboard straight into it. It’s a fantastic bit of kit and Two Notes gear is very well respected. Anyway, when I take my CABM+, plug in an instrument, power it up, plug it into an FRFR speaker / or use headphones, I get a very fast ticking noise in the background. It’s the sort of ticking you sometimes get if your phone is in your pocket and it gets picked up by your wireless transmitter. Excuse the quality of the attached recording, I was holding my iPhone to the speaker grill. Changing the volume on the pedal does not make the ticking louder or quieter. It’s at a constant low-level volume. I’ve tried the supplied power supply, my Strymon Zuma and my OneSpot Pro power supplies with no improvement. When I hold the pedal in both hands tightly and touch the prongs in the XLR out socket. The ticking disappears. I had an electrician (who’s also a guitarist) visit my house last weekend and check my earth, and ring mains, etc. which were fine. I’ve been back and forward with Two Notes engineers, who have finally said they will send me a grounded power supply, but surely the Strymon and OneSpot are grounded? Can anyone help with why this may be happening? I’ve searched every corner of the internet and nobody else seems to have this problem with the CABM+. Cheers Chris 1.mp3

Improvising over chords - bit of help needed!

Lost volume on my Fender P bass (photos which may/may not help!)
Walker replied to Walker's topic in Repairs and Technical
It was one of my pups. I eventually isolated and tested both and one of the was dead. Beat's me how a pup can just 'go', unless it had a knock? Visibly it was fine, everything connected and decently soldered. Oh well, £100 for new pups and £6 for a new pot I never needed. Up and running again. Thanks for the help everyone -

Lost volume on my Fender P bass (photos which may/may not help!)

Ah, I see, so I should expect to see a positive continuity test if i touch the two sides of the jack with my meter probes. I didn't know that. It doesn't happen on my other bass, so does that mean a damaged component could be leaking too much? Sorry if I'm being dull, but I'm finding this fascinating and trying to understand!
