I totally agree. It's just so easy. I was also playing a heavily overdriven Dumble profile on guitar with my kids asleep above me. And that Dumble only cost me a couple of pounds. Thanks for the info on the switch - I was unsure if the switch may initiate some sort of pre-programmed internal power-up sequence, but I suppose it is a speaker and not a space shuttle!

I’ve just bought a QSC K12.2 to use with my Kemper. I had a 10 minute play last night and it’s incredible. I’m lucky enough to have a hand-wired B-15 Heritage and the B-15 profiles I have on the Kemper are just as satisfying to play. Quick technical question – can I leave the QSC switched on and just power it up/down using the wall socket switch? Or is that a bad thing to do? Thanks, and long live rock’n’roll.

I was wondering if something from the PJB range with their ceramic full range speakers may be OK for playing a guitar and bass through a Kemper? Just a thought?

Bought a looper from Kevin... quick, easy, great comms Just perfect. Thank you!

Thanks very much, it's all starting to make sense! I've just started with guitar after years playing bass in a band that recently split. It's been very satisfying noodling with the blues and pentatonic scales over backing tracks. I'm now trying to get some licks under my belt too.

Thanks very much indeed, that's appreciated Phil. Cheers.

Can anyone help with this? What does this curve symbol between the two 7's mean in a blues lick tab? It's from a book I bought. In the accompanying audio example, it just sounds like a sustained note. I've seen similar symbols between two different notes for hammer on, pull off, etc. But can't work out what it means between the same note. Thanks.

All SOLD I've got three of these pro-level beauties, hardly used. Yamaha P7000S 3200w Power Amps x 3 Hugely powerful and reliable power amps. Pretty much as new. They have been racked in PA system that only saw 3 or 4 gigs and practice room use! Full spec here. I have no box so pick-up in the South Wales area (or send me your flightcase and we can use that!) Reduced to £200 each. I have some Gator / SKB rack cases that I can throw in too, subject to availability, etc!

His site is excellent too. Thanks again.

That mids trick was pure gold. Much closer than I was. Dialled in a lovely little 65 Champ on the Kemper and couldn’t put it down. Cheers👍🏻
-
Hmmmm, I've spent so many years cutting the mids. Thanks for the vid. Very useful.

Is that good for metal?

I'm not in a band at the moment, so I'm taking some time to learn blues guitar, just riffing around m pentatonic with some jam tracks after a couple of beers. It's very therapeutic! I'm obviously listening to loads of blues too, but one tone I keep coming back to is Clapton on From the Cradle, especially 'Five Long Years'. It's hard to explain, but 'honkey'with a 'back of the room' reverb sort of describe it to my ears anyway. Does anyone know where I should start to try and recreate that basic amp tone? I have a Fender Blues Junior and a Kemper with a bunch of Michael Britt vintage profiles. Is there reverb or is that just mic' placement when recorded? Cheers!

What would the real difference be between the 735 and 745? I can see they seem pretty similar but the 745 has a 4" voice coil against the 3" coil of the 735, but what does that really mean if I wanted to use one or the other as bass / guitar amplification with a Kemper? Thank you for your advice so far.

Just a thought, would a largish keyboard amp (I may have access to a Roland KC 600) do the job modelling bass and guitar? I'd imagine they are full range and can handle lows pretty well?

Alex bought a racked rig from me, money was in my account immediately and he arranged the Hungarian courier (who was much more friendly than our UPS guy!). Thoroughly recommend, top guy.

I've popped my 8-week old QSC K10.2 up for sale in the amp section. Was a revelation with my Kemper and the various pre's I've collected over the years, but alas my situation and priorities have radically changed! Oh well.
