A few years ago I did a bit of rock climbing and after playing a longish bluegrass number on Sunday, my left forearm muscles were as pumped up as they used to be after hanging off a ledge for 5 minutes! Luckily, I've got a Powerball left over from a wrist injury I had, so that's been dusted off. Anyway, great fun and I'm really looking forward to improving and performing with it.

    I paid about £115 - £120 with postage and stuff. I think? I know it was a suprising amount over a hundred quid all in! Very efficient at doing what it does.

    Took my Superlight to practice tonight much to the amusement of the guys - skelebass, they called it. Brilliant fun, never come back from practice so knackered. I dance around a lot more with this. Sits well in the mix, fewer notes... But what notes they were Lovin it, but my fingertips feel virgin again!

    [s]I've got an 'as new' four string BassMute in black, handmade by Ellio Martina. Very high quality kit - can be set up for three levels of muting pressures using the cam lever from a light mute right up to a DB like 'thunk'. Comes with spare tape, instructions and spare pads. It uses super strength double sided tape or screws for fixing. I took it off a bass I'm selling and the tape left absolutely no visible marks and held the hardware on so securely it took me 10 mins to get it off.     A true bypass dual looper (110 x 60 x 31mm), bright orange aluminium enclosure (couple of scuffs). It's velcroed. Can be powered if you want the dualLED's to light up, or passive if you don't care about the LED's.     Oh. I just put my 'new' secondhand Evah Pirazzi strings on and they are a higher tension. Putting strings on isn't an easy task, is it! The bridge is now a lot tighter. I will need a book! How can I get rosin off the strings BTW!?

One thing - you mention thumping the bridge with a heavy book - I can move mine quite easily by hand. Is something wrong with my set up?

    Hello all, I wondered if anyone can give me any advice on stringing my upright? I've Googled but cant find any detailed info. Is it similar to a bass guitar? How much excess string should I leave? Should the winding go to the centre or from the centre? All that sort of stuff. I know you guys have probably been doing this for years, but I would be extremely grateful of any advice, no matter how basic. Thanks! Chris
