Colin bought a little mixer from me. A quick and easy deal! Thanks very much indeed
2. Ah, I see, thanks for that. Looks like it's back to using amplification on stage.
3. Added trade options: Also interested in trades for 1U rackmount preamps - open to ideas.
4. Hmmm, that's odd, because I've been in a situation about 3 times now when i couldnt hear myself (I'm going straight into the desk). I even tried IEMs for a few gigs but didnt like the seperation from the event (and missed my ears ringing after the last number!). I've got a portaflex that I lug around for monitoring now, but if I could hear myself in a little Mackie, that would be a winner. I don't want chest thumping bass, I just want to hear the notes I'm playing over our drummer.
5.
I use a Mackie SRM150 and it is superb. Great little thing.
Sorry to start this back up. Did the Mackie cope with your bass OK? I'm really liking the look of these little mic stand monitors, but I'd want to hear myself too.
6. Sorted! As you suggested, a couple of dry solder joints. Now as good as the day it came off the production line (no, better in fact!). Thanks all for your help.
7. I bought some speaker stands from Bob. A perfect transaction - great comms, nice and quick and well packed. Thanks Bob!

14. Graham bought my Vanderkley cabs from me. Perfect and easy transaction. So sad to see them go, but they couldn't have gone to a better home. Enjoy them Graham!
15. Cheers Graham, sorry again about the hobnobs
16. That's exactly right - only the input socket. Thank you, at least I can point a technician in roughly the right direction! Thanks again for your help, really appreciated.
17. So looking at the top left corner of schematic - the bright input, is it just the 100k resistor and the .0047 cap that makes up this 'bright' circuit, or does it go deeper into the schematic? So if those two components are replaced, could that maybe solve my fluctuating volume issue? I've got new tubes coming too. Thanks Chris
18. Thanks very much indeed, that's really helpful.
