Something a little different from the 90's . Its a US built jazz plus. Lightweight body and even a slimmed down head. Its active with fiendishly complicated controls. Its been sitting in its case for a few years as I've been going more for 5 and 6 strings. But I recently dusted it down to accompany a local school musical production - where it did just fine..... Yamaha TRB6 II in blue with rosewood board and gold bridge/machine heads. These were made in Japan and have a great clear tone and good build quality. Its got an active 3 band eq. From the serial number I think this was made it 1999. I bought it a couple of years back - I think its one of those basses that has been around basschat. Its in good condition - the only ding I can see is around the jack socket (see pic) and a bit on the back of the neck. Its strung E to E at the moment (Overwater Nickel Roundwound) -for complicated reasons ---but makes it great for chords. I've got the low B string from the original set so easy to convert back to B-C. No case I'm afraid just a Ritter Gig Bag. Would prefer pick up in either north essex or london. If needed I'm willing to drive a bit to meet up (+bit of petrol money). [s]£500[/s] £450 .... Interested in trades... good fretless, 4 string passive jazz, or compact amps/cabs, or EUB or whatever....+/- cash Plus two more pictures that show the bass is way too smart for my patio.... Edited 15_5

Pics of my SWR....its one of the older pre-fender SWR's valve pre-amp, 350watt at 4 ohm, 500 ish watts at 2ohm. Its lived most of its life in rack cases so is in pretty good nick - odd little scratch etc. I keep it in that 2u shallow rackbag which fits just fine. I agree - it does look good. I havent seen Mike since the bass merchant moved. Perhaps I should call in.... maybe one day I will order a funkmeister. What are those pickups? Is he still doing the aeros?
Fantastic playability with these basses; I had two of them a few years ago.. I think this model is the Kingston Heir if I'm not mistaken? Buying this and adding another pick up and some active electronics to it would be a relatively inexpensive way to owning a really amazing bass! Good luck with the sale
Thanks . Ive never been quite sure of which Kingston this is - I have been told and ... forgotten. I agree that though the passive sound is good - an active pickup would be great on this bass.

Carvin 4x10 cab £120... This has been a reliable workhorse for me. Its 8 ohm with adjustable 'redeye' horn. Carpet covered. Rated at 600 watts the cab has always been plenty loud enough for me on its own. It has that punchy 4x10 sound and a great bass response- its quite a deep box. Though its bulky its surpirsingly light (around 30kg) - if your arms are long enough its one man lift. I'll throw in my home made skate thing (bit of old wood with four casters that fits it nicely and helps shift it on the flat) The cab is old - there is small dent in the front grill and the carpet is a bit bobbly but the drivers are in good condition - no problems with the sound. Just right for those gigs where you might fret about the safety of highly expensive cabs .... Pick up from North Essex - or I might be able to drive a bit to meet up.
