1. Guessing from the two posts above yours - not really, no.
2.
Not enough, obviously.
Yeah, I know. But, you see, if I found a P-Bass that sounds perfect for me, I'd better keep it and stop pursuing 'even better' sound, or I'll G.A.S. myself to death.
3.
You would think so wouldn't you? But the bottom line is many people would rather have the F word on their headstock than have a better bass. I call them "Fendermentalists".
Hell, I thought the same way one year ago. Then I bought a P-Bass to sell it to the highest bidder, but it so happened she was the best bass I've ever played. And I've tested a lot of stuff
4. Oh, somehow I forgot about the situation in Poland... There is a couple that goes to Germany, buys a lot of instrument junk with couple of jewels among it (I found perfect vintage EB-3 style mini humbacker) and taking it to Poland for resale. Usually they describe the junk as it was extremely rare vintage stuff worthy far more than they ask for it. They were hard to talk to as they tend to be always right. I, once or twice, tried to help them and told them what their merchandise really were - eg. they were selling Musima bass from East Germany as a fine Japanese P Bass and I recognised it in few moments - but they always said something like 'whatever, we deal with this all our lives, we know better, our instruments are the finest, bla bla'. No 'thank you', nothing. But hell, the story goes on! After few situations where the clients were... well, let's say 'dissatisfied'..., someone wrote about them on our forum. Then, there were few responses. Somehow, the guy found it and became berserk. At first he started to anonymously threat some of our users with 'friends from ZOMO' (ZOMO - Motorized Reserves of the Citizens' Militia - heavy duty militiamen who at the time of communism beaten to death those who opposed the communist government) and 'Ukrainian Mafia'. Then, he registered as a fake lawyer and started to inform us we are going to be sued. When that gave no effect, he became even more mad and started his campaign of hatred. He posted warnings in his auctions about our forum saying that we are paedophiles, traitors and what not. he posted an ad where he promised money to ones who'd give him the real names of all mods and admins form our forum, including me (hell, I live with a bounty on my head! ). Real story, quite frightening. Fortunately, this guys know only Polish and Pig Latin, so they will not track me here.
5. That's what you sometimes get for being nice guy

Hi!!

Welcome! It's great thing having such a wife. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
7.
If they used the money that they spend on new models, and spent it on product quality control, across their basic range. they'd stil make the same proffit, but have a better name for themselves. I mean do they really need to advertise or bring out a dozen new models every year. Concentrate on the stuff your good at, is what I say.
If that was the case, Fender should make their basses in Japan with exact standards and pricing as in 1985-1995
8.
They look ok... But why are Fender so obsessed with white pickguards?
+1 Each guitar looks utterly cool in my opinion. In terms of looks, I'd choose that basses instead of plain black body with white pickguard anytime. Oh, and the neck of P loos simply awesome.
9. I have only one bass-related regret: I started to play too late. Missed the opportunities such as school bands or any other stuff like this made me become a 'bedroom bassist'.
10. This new P-bass looks much like my P-bass. I didn't knew I was getting so famous that Fender will start making my signature!
11. How about posting it to Poland? After hearing some samples I'm quite interested.
12. If the Strat won't be sold to a BC'er above, would you consider postage to Poland? I can arrange a courier.
13. Wow, gorgeous!
14. When I was a kiddo, I had a 3/4 or even 2/3 guitar, but never played it. It was just sort of laying around. I also has some child instruments, but never used them in proper way either. First 17 years of my life I spent in a house that was in poor condition - it was always cold and quite humid. After some time, the owner of the ground floor moved in and it turn out it's a woman with paranoid schizophrenia. Those two reasons were responsible for mine not even thinking of playing. Oh, and the fact I was not a big fan of music, I just liked to listen to it sometimes. Then I started to listen to more and more music, shaping my taste for it and I moved. After that suddenly I started wanting to play - play a bass, as I was big Ramones fan and I liked Dee Dee a lot nad big RHCP fan and I liked Flea a lot, too. It took my two and a half years to get my first bass, but meanwhile I got a guitar, but never played it a lot somehow. My bass history is here.
15. Hello and Cześć
16.
(...)Postage is £2.50 to UK (...) 2 x Concentric Stack knobs for Jazz £12 for pair
Only knobs, W/O pots? And what kind of knobs, chromed or plastic? Would you consider shipping this to Poland by any chance if the offer still stands?
17.
Don't think it will ever get changed now.
There are people using the same LaBella's since 60's-70's, so you don't have to worry about changing them anyway.
18.
I have been around quite a few shops last week end and yesterday I made my decision: I got an Ovation Magnum 4 (...)
Wow. You, sir, are a lucky one.
19. Welcome! It's good to hear that bass playing is like riding a bike. I'm not planning to stop, but, hey, who knows.
Welcome to the mid life crisis forum
Hell, I registered here at the same time when I began to think I've already (and prematurely) started to have MLC
20. As for the "Radio Museum" - that was my primary source of data. As for the "Vintage Catalogs" - hell, the only words in French I know are eau, fromage, petit, chanson, pardon and some swear words. Anyway, thanks.
21. No one? C'mon!
22.
A Judas Priest tribute bass ?!
Hey, in that case you'd have so many song titles to use as an alias! 'Grinder', 'Metal God', 'Steeler', 'Exciter', 'Blodstone', 'Jawbreaker', 'Invader', 'Devil's Child', 'Turbo Lover', 'Painkiller' and, of course, 'Leather Rebel' ED: Oh, as long as using those names won't be 'Breaking the Law', that is.
23.
Since the headstock is blank I need to think of a name for it, any suggestions ?!
GimpBass, of course. Oh, add some studs to it
24. Depends on tuning. For EADG they might be too thick and will cause your W.'s neck to bend.
25. Yeah, but why are you asking this in someone else's welcome thread?
