1.
I'm sure you could email them from Poland
Damn, I sounded silly. I meant the fact that my friend's English would be better
2. Yeah, but I'm not from England... But I have a buddy or two there, so maybe I'll ask them for a favor. You thing Metamp would do a european plug amp? You have 230V in your sockets, right?
3. Damn, how neatly done! Pure valve porn. Congrats on the amp, really nice one. How much is it? Maybe one day...
4. Yaeh, right. G.A.S. ceased. Riiiight. I said it to myself maaaany times, all for naught. But I love it just the way it is.
5. Twisted and Evil!

COWPOKE!

Nice one! Not entirely my style, but really cool
7.
If you must know it's because I had food poisoning over most of the Christmas period , and now it turns out I have a rather nasty urinary infection . Take no notice. Doc tells me I'll be much better in a few days, and that extreme grumpiness is a common symptom of this condition in older men.
Oh, damn! Well, my mum and grandpa also had food poisoning, but AFTER the Christmas - you know, the common virus, 'foodabsortium waytoomuchus' Hope you'll be OK!
8.
(...)The Poll is called P Bass Survey (if you don't have a P bass and/or don't like them it's not compulsory to partake) (...)
That's why I don't understand why Lefty's so feisty. It's like being mad for not finding pork chops in vegetable store.
Ref. 2. I don't have a world view of basses. 25% of my instruments are Ps. It was intended as a bit of fun at Christmas. Sorry to disappoint.
For me it WAS fun and a bit of surprise to find that most people statistically would prefer modern made P-bass with round. My fingers are getting uncomfortably itchy even when I thing about it!
9. What colour is it? Show some pics, please!
10.
The OP is only asking for trades not a sale hence no price needed.
Ah, right. Sorry, just realised that the 'Marketplace' even exists here two days ago (and already bought three things ). My apologies!
11. And the price either... And it will prevent the offer from being kicked off the screen for breaking forum rules, if I recall this right.
12.
When was the last time any of us had an audience member make anycomment about our tone? IMHO you should get a sound that fits the music(but it does'nt stop me trying to find 'that'sound).
Hey, I was on a concert once and I oh-so-wanted to congratulate the bass player his sound, as it was simply perfect. Too many hundreds people and security people in the way, though.
13. As for now, I'd like 51', 57' and MiJ 80's, with either Flats or Tapewounds.
14. Asking the OP's question: I bought Traben Neo because I liked the sound, but I was at the "I just like bass" time of my life. Then I started to crave vintage, fat, rich and warm bass sound. First time the satisfying effect came, when I removed the lacquer from neck socket and put the flats on my Traben Neo. But few weeks later I got my hands on Fender Precision and with 'proper' Sunn amp I got two months later the search was pretty much over. But later I've decided to buy two more basses to have the 'full spectrum' of sound - more aggressive T-40 and more punchy/muddy 70's Tele Bass. Oldschool funky, sharp and muddy - all I wanted. Anything else I'll buy will be out of pure G.A.S.. And for some vintage 'nuances' I'll build few basses for myself.
15. It doesn't look so bad. Put some flats on it and chrome covers, of course, and it'll have a nice style and tone. I dig it!
16. I am wondering about turning my Fender/Squier 70's Telecaster Bass into my own 'fake signature' bass. Since it is already Squier Vintage (Much More) Modified TB, the modding can go further. Thanks to 99ster, my bridge cover is on it's way to Poland, but... Oh, well, let's head to the beginning: If only this 'Sting' block wouldn't be there, the word 'Telecaster' was placed instead 'Precision' on the headstock, the body was fully slab and the neck adjusting screw from the truss rod was 'bullet' style, it would make a really close 70's TB replica, but it's extremely cool anyway and, with that said, why not make it even cooler? Originally I thought about buying regular SVM70'sTB and putting a single coil 50's pickup in the correct position would made a nice custom bass: Telecaster Bass II and Telecaster Bass II in one package. Some time later, I've even discovered that someone already did that and I saved the pics: Now the original pics disappeared from the web and I cannot find the original topic on forum (whatever forum was it, anyway) to ask the builder about this medley. I guess the single coil has sufficient amount of mids and highs, so there's no need for placing it closer to the bridge. It's a P-bass, after all. Anyway, with time I forgot about the matter, but then a buddy of mine got this bass for a price of a new SVM and he hardly played it. Since he's shown me the pics, I made him swear I'll be the next owner whenever he'll be selling that bass. And it finally happened. My newest newest bass came to me and I thought - hey, that old idea of mine was a really cool idea! The plan is: Some kind of good single - either original Fender, SCPB-1/2 or Lindy Fralin - would make this machine two basses in one, now am I right? I'd only put the single pickup a bit closer to the neck, had figured out a better (classic) placement spot for the thumbrest, used a Telecaster style 3-way switch (if together they'll sound lame, maybe I can use Push/Pull pot instead of the switch to select the pickup?) and replaced the whole wiring plus maybe even change the pickguard shape a bit and put the chromed 50's control plate over the plastic pickguard to complete the look of my hybrid monster to fulfill this "two Telecaster basses in one" style. And as the cherry on top, I'd be replace the Sting's signature 12th fret marker with my own (ICS for Immo Custom Shop). I want it to be something different that CS Lotto bass or Modern Player Telecaster Bass. I made a black & white design drawing for entire idea (push/pull pot instead of switch that kinda goes in the way and looks bad) and it looks like this: And now I wonder - is it really that good idea? As for the looks - I totally dig it. I guess if I'd be a famous bass player, that's how my signature would look like, anyway. But soundwise? Would this bass suffer a sudden decrease of playability because of body's few square centimeters of wood less? What about the sound of both PU's working at once? And would the PUs magnets impair the sustain? Or am I only paranoid...? What do you think? I ask about the functionality, not the looks, which - as I said - I dig a lot.
17.
(...) sometimes I don't logoff, so I don't know if that 10 minute stat is particularly accurate.
Yeah, that's my case. Sometimes I go play bass, leaving browser with Basschat's My Content & New Content pages opened and set on auto-refresh... And I check it once in a while.
18. I got (from myself, but it still counts!) a bass consisting Fender Sting Bass'es neck and Squier VM 70's TB body and hardware. That's the best thing I've got for Christmas since that train model when I was a kid...
19. According to my buddy - nope. It won't cover the full frequency, can be clipping even at the lowest gain and deform the sound. But that's just what I've heard from guy who's born in a cradle full of tubes.
20.
In central london, that is what is known as a "palace".
Yeah, but would you be beaten to death because of boots you're wearing or having long hair? In place where my 'palace' is this is common.
21. Oh, and I forgot - I'm designing my new apartment (if less than 40 square meters can even be called that way) and I've decreed that there will we a special corner for my amp and basses - sound dampening floor, sound dampening mats on the walls behind, 3 jack power socket with on/off switch, light spot and few hooks to hang and properly display my basses.
22. Make sure you'll have the Mex Jazz tested and I bet you won't be disappointed! There's one in my local music store, MiM, creamy white with black scratchplate, sounds awesome, low and punchy, sort of Klaus Flouride's sound. Too expensive, though, about twice the price I'd pay on ebay.co.uk
23. Easiest way to answer the question.
24. Yeah, but I'm in Poland, you see... Not sure if the cost will be worthy... And, by the way, is there a material of some kind that could be glued to the pickguard without leaving air bubbles, thin and quite solid? Adhesive vinyl foil or something? Maybe I'll use a layer of white foil to create more 'historically accurate' look, something like this: And I have to admit I admire the custom Telecaster II Bass pickguard with black paisley design, maybe a foil with that pattern would be available...?
25. You really shouldn't be so worried about that! As Ray said, it's way better than watching dumb TV. Sure, you are a bit procrastinating, but, hell, you meet so many other procrastinators from all over UK and beyond! You are socializing, dammit! Enjoy it!
