    If only I wasn't poor right now! This was the first Bass I ever owned and I was a damned sight poorer when I had to sell it. I really miss it and would sell a testicle to own another.

    I have an Aria Pro II MAB-20/5 (1991). It is 15mm at the bridge and about 9mm at the nut. I've always found it really easy to play and I've got pretty chunky fingers. I recently got myself something with 19mm spacing though. It took a couple of hours to get used to, but in some ways it's is easier to play. So I think it's worth trying a few different ones and really taking your time with each one to be sure.

    £1 for 3mm Big Stubbies. I was doing the rounds of the local(ish) guitar shops for the first time since moving here. I had been in a few shops that didn't stock them, so, as gutted as I was at the price, I bought 3 (usually buy half a dozen at a time, and usually only 60p each). The very next shop I went into had them for 60p each, but, as I ended up buying a Bass while I was in there, he gave me some for free!
